Good morning and welcome to your 10-minute meditation to start the day perfectly.
Or maybe you just want to start the day all over again and that's okay too.
Take a moment to settle in,
To do whatever you need to do to get comfortable.
Perhaps you'll wiggle your jaw to release any tension.
Sometimes it's nice to roll the shoulders or give your neck a gentle stretch.
Get comfy and you can close your eyes or soften your gaze if you like.
Then let's take a few deep breaths,
Deep belly breaths,
In your own time.
Comfortably filling your lungs and with every exhale relaxing a little bit more.
And on your next inhale,
As you fill your lungs,
Just hold your breath for a moment,
Then breathe out long and slow.
Again,
Breathe in,
Fill your lungs,
Hold it for a moment,
Then breathe out long and slow.
One more time,
Breathe in,
Fill your lungs,
Hold it for a moment,
Then breathe out long and slow.
And now relax your breathing,
You can just breathe normally.
As we settle into this place and this time,
As this new day begins and as we start this new day,
How are you feeling?
Just waking up?
Or is your mind already busy with thoughts of the day ahead?
However you're feeling is perfectly ok.
What you're experiencing right now is uniquely yours.
And it's all ok,
And it's all allowed.
And at the start of this day,
What do you see stretching ahead of you?
Is it a busy day?
Or is it a quiet day?
Do the thoughts of today fill you with pleasure?
Or do they make you feel uncomfortable?
The truth is we can never be sure exactly what's coming at the beginning of each day.
The future is unknown,
And not something that we can control.
And in this moment,
Maybe we can begin to find some comfort in that uncertainty.
To begin to allow everything that is outside of our control to stay there.
If it's not in our control,
Then we're free to just let it be.
And let it take care of itself.
Because all is well.
And everything is arriving in your day and in your life just as it should be.
And then let's turn our attention to what we can control.
And a very good place to start is to create some positive thoughts.
To begin to choose our thoughts about the day ahead,
I invite you to focus on some positive words.
To help generate positive thoughts and feelings about the day ahead.
And to get the day off to a really good start.
You can just listen and focus and see how they feel.
