I hope you've already found a cozy,
Comfortable space where you can spend the next few minutes in quiet.
This meditation is best enjoyed with your eyes closed,
If that's supportive for you.
Let's begin.
You're sitting on your favorite beach.
You're cozy and comfortable and have everything you need.
The air is the perfect temperature for you.
You feel happy and relaxed.
You look out over the ocean and see the brilliant blue water.
You gaze all the way out to the horizon where the ocean meets the sky in a seamless embrace.
You look up and see that the sky is clear without a cloud to be found.
The sun,
Radiant in the sky,
Shines down and you watch as it sparkles and dances upon the water.
You enjoy its warm,
Soothing rays as they tenderly kiss your skin.
You notice a light breeze and welcome it as it caresses your face and moves through your hair.
Here you decide to take a couple nice,
Long,
Healing breaths.
You take a nice,
Slow inhale through your nose,
Hold it,
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
You take another gentle breath in,
Hold,
And slowly release it.
Sitting here,
You listen as the waves crash gently along the shoreline.
You can smell the salty air and taste it on your lips.
Reaching down,
You touch the soft,
Powdery sand and pick up a couple handfuls and let it pass slowly through your fingers.
Sitting here,
You take in one final observation,
Soaking in all you can see,
All you can hear,
And all you can feel.
Taking with you these moments of peace as you head back to your life beyond the beach,
Feeling stronger,
Happier,
And with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose.
