Welcome.
This practice is for mornings when you're already tired before the day begins.
You don't need energy to start.
Just a few quiet minutes.
And a gentle weighing.
So,
Find whatever position feels easiest right now.
That might be sitting.
Lying down.
Or still half in the sheets,
Half out if you need it to be.
There's nothing to get right here.
Whichever position you've chosen.
Let your eyes close.
Or soften your gaze a little.
Take a moment here.
To just arrive.
Exactly as you are this morning.
And then just move your attention to the breath.
If it's comfortable.
Just encourage your next exhale.
To be a little longer and slower than usual.
Each time you exhale.
See if you can let something soften.
Maybe your jaw?
Maybe your shoulders.
Maybe you'll grip on the day ahead.
Keep breathing in easily.
And let the out-breath carry the release.
Repeat this process a few more times.
When you feel ready,
Just let your breath settle back into its own natural rhythm.
Just allow it to be completely free.
Take a moment here to notice that small sense of ease,
However small,
That comes simply from pausing here.
When you feel ready,
Take a slightly fuller,
Deeper breath in.
Let your fingers and toes wake gently in their own time.
Maybe give the whole body a stretch if you wish.
And carry this quiet steadiness with you into the morning.
One small,
Kind step at a time.
Thank you for taking this moment for yourself today.
