A short meditation from the “Moments of Mindfulness” series. Sometimes a small moment is enough to bring your attention back to the here and now. In this short mindfulness practice, the breath is at the center. You can notice the breath as it comes and goes, how it gently moves the body, and how it finds its own natural rhythm. If it feels comfortable, you can close your eyes or gently lower your gaze and turn your attention inward. Perhaps you might imagine the breath as a small stream: flowing, changing, and always in motion. For a few minutes, you can simply notice – one breath at a time. “Moments of Mindfulness” is a series of short meditations, each focusing on one aspect of mindful experience. Further practices explore thoughts, feelings, body awareness, and inner needs. The practices are calm, open, and non-dogmatic, inviting you to meet your own experience with a little more attention and kindness.
