Making Space For Feelings – Mindfulness With Feelings
by Julius Pieth
A short meditation from the “Moments of Mindfulness” series. Sometimes a small moment is enough to pause and notice what is alive within you right now. In this short mindfulness practice, feelings are at the center. You can notice what is present – perhaps something light or heavy, something clear or something quieter. If it feels comfortable, you can close your eyes or gently lower your gaze and turn your attention inward. Perhaps you might imagine a wave: a feeling arrives, moves, and changes. It may become stronger, grow quieter, or make space for another feeling. For a few minutes, you can simply feel and notice, without needing to change or judge anything. “Moments of Mindfulness” is a series of short meditations, each focusing on one aspect of mindful experience. Further practices explore the breath, body awareness, thoughts, and inner needs. The practices are calm, open, and non-dogmatic, inviting you to meet your own experience with a little more attention and kindness.
