Hey there,
This is John.
Welcome to the Mirrored Guru.
Today I want to talk to you about transforming the energy around our self-worth,
Our self-esteem.
Years ago I was either in an interview I was listening to or watching on TV,
Or it could have been a book,
Where I saw the amazing Louise Hay talking about mirror work.
And when I heard that,
I incorporated that into my daily life.
It's probably been close to 20 years now that I've been doing that.
So I look in the mirror every day after I'm done showering and done putting on my face creams and all that,
Doing my hair,
And I look in the mirror right into the middle of my eyes and say,
I love you,
John Steen.
So take your phone in to the mirror in your bathroom,
In your bedroom,
Or use the phone,
Camera,
Turn it so you're looking at yourself.
Look into your eyes,
Deep in your eyes,
Just looking at yourself and say,
I love you.
Go ahead,
Do that.
Beautiful.
How does that feel?
How does that feel to say,
I love you?
Do it again.
Just really look in the middle of your eyes,
Deep into your eyes,
Into your soul,
And say,
I love you.
Beautiful.
How does it feel?
How does it feel in your body when you do that?
Let me know.
I'd be curious to know where you feel it in your body.
Another thing that it reminds me of,
I don't know if you do this,
I constantly do this.
If I'm in a department store or if I'm walking down the street somewhere,
I'm constantly looking into the reflection of a store window and checking out how I look.
Oh dudes,
How does this outfit make me look?
Is my hair okay?
I do that in department stores.
If I walk by a mirror,
Do you do that?
Can you relate to doing that?
What if while we're doing that,
We start saying at the end of doing that,
I love you.
Right?
Just that little shift is a shift in our energy,
A shift in our self-worth into that storefront,
Into that department store mirror when we're looking at ourselves,
I love you.
And now,
Take that phone while you're in that bathroom,
In your bedroom,
Or turn that camera onto yourself and look.
Now I want you to look deep in your eyes again.
Now I want you to spell the word guru.
Let's do that.
G-U-R-U.
Okay?
Okay.
Let's do it again.
G-U-R-U.
Okay.
So let's say it slower.
Let's do it with more emphasis and more heart and passion.
Let's go.
G-U-R-U.
Ah,
You got it.
See,
You got it.
I got it,
G-U-R-U.
The mirrored guru.
Now,
Get out there and slay your day with whatever you got going on today because I believe in you because you got this.
You are the mirrored guru.
Namaste,
My friends.
Namaste.
