A Commitment to Love is a global movement rooted in healing, truth, and action. In times of uncertainty and division, we are choosing love—not as a passive ideal, but as a force for resilience, justice, and transformation. This movement began with Insight Timer teachers and healers, but it is for everyone. Teachers are hosting live sessions, creating meditations, and fostering conversations. Community members are sharing their stories, art, and reflections—bringing love into action in their own ways. A Commitment to Love is about more than personal healing—it is about collective change. Love is not separate from truth, justice, and spiritual growth. It is the foundation of all three. This track invites you to sit with what A Commitment to Love means for you. How does love move through you? How are you being called to express it? If this resonates, join us. The movement is already in motion.

Hello,

And welcome to Jonergy Healing.

My name is Jon Steen.

There is an energy in the world right now,

One of uncertainty,

Division,

And change.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed,

To want to turn away.

But now more than ever,

Love calls us to be present.

Love calls us to take action.

A commitment to love is not just an idea.

It is a movement,

A movement that asks,

How do we embody love when the world feels heavy?

How do we integrate love into our words,

Actions,

And communities?

How do we transform love from a passive feeling into a force for healing,

Truth,

And justice?

Many in our Insight Timer community,

Both teachers and members,

Are feeling and experiencing the real-world impacts of what is happening in the world.

Some have had to leave their homes.

Others are witnessing injustice firsthand,

And many are grappling with fear,

Grief,

And uncertainty.

For too long,

Spirituality has been viewed as separate from the realities of the world.

But when human dignity is being threatened,

When communities are under attack,

And when fear is being amplified,

This is not just political.

These are spiritual issues.

And healing is not just personal.

It is collective.

If you are committed to healing,

You are committed to justice.

If you are committed to love,

You are committed to change.

What is a commitment to love?

A commitment to love is a movement centered around integrating love into every aspect of our lives,

Not just in meditation or personal practice,

But in action.

It is about embodying love even when it's difficult,

Even when fear and division try to pull us apart.

This movement invites each of us to sit with what love truly means,

Both as individuals and as a collective.

Because love isn't about looking away.

Love asks us to stay present.

A commitment to love means looking inward.

Where might you be holding back,

Staying silent,

Or playing small?

Honoring your body,

Mind,

And spirit,

Resting when needed,

Showing up when called.

Practicing self-forgiveness and extending grace to others.

Awakening to the truth that healing and justice are deeply intertwined.

And this movement is not prescriptive.

It's an invitation.

You are encouraged to explore what a commitment to love means for you.

Because once you sit with it,

Something will shift.

And here's how you can participate.

For listeners and community members,

You don't have to be a teacher or healer to be part of this movement.

Love is something we all can embody.

And here's how you can engage.

Reflect and journal.

Ask yourself,

What does a commitment to love mean in my life?

Where am I being called to show up in love even when it's hard?

Have courageous conversations.

Speak up for love,

Justice,

And truth in your daily life.

And let love guide your voice.

Share your story,

Whether through writing,

Art,

Music,

Or conversation.

Express what committing to love means to you.

Practice love in action.

Show kindness.

Extend compassion.

Support communities in need.

And remember that love in action creates real change.

Use social media for good.

Share insights,

Reflections,

And messages of love.

And use the hashtag a commitment to love to amplify our collective voice.

For teachers,

Healers,

Musicians,

And guides,

If you feel called to integrate this movement into your work,

Here's how you can contribute.

Host a live session on Insight Timer under the theme of a commitment to love with meditations,

Or energy healing,

Music,

Discussions,

Or any other practice.

Create short tracks on affirmations,

Guided meditations,

Music,

Or reflections on love,

Healing,

And truth.

Engage your community.

Invite participation through conversations,

Creative expression,

Or shared experiences.

Amplify the movement.

Spread awareness through social media,

Newsletters,

Or group discussions.

This is about creating a ripple effect,

A movement grounded in love,

Truth,

And liberation.

In closing,

I invite you to take a moment to sit in reflection.

Ask yourself,

What does a commitment to love mean for me in this moment of history?

For me,

This movement was the answer that emerged.

For you,

It may take a different form.

But no matter how it manifests,

The essence remains the same.

Choosing love,

Embodying love,

Sharing love.

We cannot build a better world by looking away.

Let's rise together.

Let's heal together.

Let's commit to love.

If this resonates with you,

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

How do you feel called to contribute?

Let me know in the comments,

And let's continue this journey together with love and gratitude.

Have a wonderful day.

Namaste.

Dear John, this resonates so deeply with me. You have moved me so much everyday I take time for this prayer 🙏 May all beings be safe. May all beings be at peace. My all beings be loved. May all beings be happy. May all beings awaken to the true Light ✨ of their nature. I also have the hashtag #ACommitmentToLove on my profile. I just sent you an email asking if all are welcome to join the Energy Healing LGBTQ group? I'd love to be apart of it. Also, " healing and justice and deeply intertwined" 🤯🙏❤️✨🌈

Really hard to put into words how I feel at the end of this but I will try…I am finding more and more that the way of peace and the way of love is not in silence but in speaking out. I could disconnect myself from what is happening to other people less fortunate than me but it just does not feel right. I feel your message is so needed at the moment in the world, thank you 🙏🏻🕊️

Committing to being a voice of love for LGBTQ+ people is important in the US right now (and always). Despite efforts to suppress free speech by intimidation, I commit to being an unabashed voice of love.

What a beautiful and inspiring talk, John. Thank you. I have seen many of your Instagram posts on this Commitment to Love Movement recently and am feeling moved to climb out of a pit of overwhelm and sadness that has consumed me since last fall. Thank you for your continuing messages of love and encouragement. I need it and so does the world. ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful! Last weekend started community gatherings in my neighborhood of ~200 homes just outside of Washington, DC. These “love cafes” are an invitation to come together and discuss what a commitment to love means for us (many neighbors are govt workers), and how we can support each other but also help to manifest it as right-action extending beyond our community. Blessings to you for being a light in these dark hours. 🕊️💞🙏

Thank you for this. I silently asked myself many times “what does a commitment to love look like for me?” “How can I commit to love?” And today the answers had to do with being impeccable with my word (true, kind, “necessary”), not hiding my beliefs in peace and justice even though my career as a performer could be affected by it, and standing up for myself interpersonally. I’m transgender and mildly disabled on Medicaid, so these times are very scary. I’m filled with terror at some point almost every day, sometimes more often. Thankfully these kinds of tools really do make the difference. I remember how unwell I was before meditating, and it’s clear that daily meditation for years has made all the difference now that I’m here in a time where an activated nervous system fits the facts. All that to say to others reading, keep up the practice of mindfulness and love. Every moment of practice makes a difference.

🙏🏼 John. Your voice, your tone, your message, your cadence... the slow, steady, strong flow of this message of love that so clearly comes from your heart... in a dark and tumultuous time, you persuade me there is hope, love, and goodness. I stand by you and this beautiful movement. Thank you. ✨❤️‍🩹🕊️

The ‘A Commitment To Love’ movement unites individuals from across the globe, inspiring us to share and promote this essential cause. Choose, Embody, and Share Love—these guiding principles shape my daily life. Without love, existence loses its meaning. I wholeheartedly support the #acommitmenttolove movement in my everyday interactions, both online, mediration and in conversation. John, your creation of this vital movement has made a profound impact. The teachers and us meditators here on the app are truly embracing it and contributing to its growth. We must remain steadfast in our mission to promote love and peace in our complex world—Love conquers all, and this is just the beginning. Love is everything. Never stop loving. ❤️ Namaste. 🙏 🕊️🌻❤️

Another helpful reflection for these times John. . Thank you very much. Tony. Thanks for your message John in reply to this comment. Yes, I have recommended this wonderful meditation to my group Life of Mindfulness and I intend to refer to it in the live session later today. Much needed for these times. 🙏

This is a great track John, I had the gist of what was meant with #A Commitment to Love, but this is really clear and is something I definitely want to be a part of. It's definitely a be the change you want in the world thing, that I feel drawn to take on. Particularly in conversations and interactions with the people I come in contact with. Good on you John, nice one! ❤️🙏
