Welcome,
I'm Jocelyn.
This is the second in a series of meditations and journaling around the chakra system.
In this meditation and journaling session,
We'll be working with the sacral chakra.
In each of these sessions,
I'll walk you through a meditation and some questions and visualization.
At the end,
I'll be putting on some frequency and music for you to journal with for about 15 minutes.
And of course,
You can use the writing time in any way that you choose,
Whether you're writing personally or creatively.
So again,
This session is about the sacral chakra.
So wherever you are,
It's a wonderful idea to have your pen and paper right next to you,
Or your keyboard or whatever you're going to be writing on.
So it's easy to access as soon as the meditation is done.
As we're getting comfortable sitting back,
You can be laying down if you want,
And just become aware of your body and the shape of your body.
Becoming aware of the edges on the outside of the arms,
The outside of the legs,
The edges of your shoulders,
Your neck and your head.
Bringing your awareness to your shape in space.
Bringing your awareness even to the spaces that your body is creating,
Like between your fingers or your toes.
Bring your awareness to the back of your body,
All the places the back of your body is being supported by what's beneath it.
And bringing your awareness to the front of your body,
Where the edges of your body meet the air around you.
And bring your awareness to your eyes,
Inviting them to relax back and down.
Allow your awareness to move to your jaw.
Oh,
The jaw does so much work for us.
Invite your jaw to release back and down.
The shoulders,
Inviting them to soften.
And the hips,
Inviting them to soften as well.
And we're simply going to begin to place our awareness on our breath as it enters and exits our body.
You're not trying to manipulate it.
You're just trying to witness and notice the breath as it enters and leaves our bodies.
Just by bringing your awareness to your breath,
It will naturally deepen.
I'm going to walk you through a short rotation of consciousness.
I invite you to simply listen to my voice as I guide your awareness across the landscape of your body.
And each time your awareness settles on one part of the body,
Might you imagine a sense of pleasurable touch in that part of the body.
And for some that might be a gentle tickle.
For others,
It might be a gentle pressure.
For others,
It might be a harder pressure.
Whatever the word pleasure means to you.
The center of the forehead,
A touch of pleasure,
A pleasurable touch at the center of the forehead.
The right eye.
The left eye.
The bridge of the nose.
A touch of pleasure and comfort.
Tip of the nose.
Inside of the right cheek.
The roof of the mouth.
The right side of the tongue.
The right jawbone.
Right ear.
The space between the ears.
A touch of pleasure.
Whatever that means to you.
The left ear.
Left jawbone.
The left side of the tongue.
The tip of the tongue.
And the inside of the left cheek.
Center of the throat.
A touch of pleasure.
A pleasurable touch of awareness.
The right collarbone.
A pleasurable touch of awareness across the right collarbone.
The right shoulder.
Wrist.
And all five fingers of the right hand.
A pleasurable touch of your awareness across all five fingertips.
The left side of the collarbone.
Left shoulder.
And all five fingers of the left hand.
A pleasurable touch.
Whatever that means for you.
And the heart center.
The center of the chest.
A soft,
Gentle,
Comforting touch at the center of the chest.
The belly button.
And the navel center.
The lower belly.
The sacral center.
A pleasant and pleasurable touch at the lower belly.
Whatever that means to you.
The root center.
The root center.
Both hips and ankles.
A pleasurable touch at both ankles.
All ten toes.
Your awareness spreading like a touch of pleasure across all ten toes.
And the bottoms of the feet.
A gentle,
Pleasurable touch of awareness at the bottoms of the feet.
And moving your awareness now back to the sacral center at the lower belly.
Just breathing in and out from the sacral center.
Allowing your breath to move at its own pace,
Its own timing,
Its own depth.
Whatever it needs to be in this moment.
And imagining each breath birthed from the sacral center,
The lower belly.
And expanding out.
And on each exhale,
That breath comes right back to the pinpoint center of the sacral center.
Allowing your breath to move in its own unique way.
And just imagining each inhale expanding out in all directions at the lower belly.
And each exhale contracting back to a pinpoint.
A few more breaths like this.
You're breathing,
Creating a heartbeat at the sacral center.
Inhale and exhale.
And releasing your breath.
The sacral center is about emotions,
Pleasure,
Abundance,
Creativity,
Sexuality.
I invite you to listen to those words again.
And be aware of any responses your body gives to any of those words.
Emotions,
Pleasure,
Abundance,
Creativity,
And sexuality.
As I read those words for you one more time,
Did you have any physical responses?
Visions,
Sounds,
Words,
Or memories bubble up?
Just for a minute,
I invite you to bring all of your awareness to this sacral center.
Imagining that you are standing at the very pinnacle center of the sacral energy center.
And in this place,
Do you feel an energetic flow?
Do you feel waters of energy in this sacral center?
Maybe,
For you,
It is still,
Or maybe it's a rushing river.
Maybe it's like a ribbon in a gentle wind.
Just witnessing and bringing your awareness to the energy flow in this center.
Might we just breathe into this flow for three breaths.
Inhaling,
Expanding the movement of flow.
Exhaling and coming back to that pinnacle center.
Two more times.
Inhaling into that flow,
Expanding it,
Maybe even outside of your body into your energy field.
And exhaling back to that pinnacle center.
And one last time,
Inhaling into that sacral center,
Energetic flow,
Expanding as far as you can.
And exhaling back to that center where you find yourself standing.
And looking around,
What do you see?
Do you see shapes or colors,
Patterns or symbols?
Do you see beings?
Do you see memories or dreams here?
It is perfectly okay if you see nothing.
Not all of us are visual people.
Open up your ears in this center of the sacral energy center.
What do you hear?
Do you hear sounds or silence,
Words or music?
Do you hear a memory calling?
Open up your nose to the aromas in this space right at the sacral chakra.
What aromas are present for you?
There might be no aromas present and that is perfectly okay.
And how does the inside of your mouth feel as you bring air in and out of your body?
Does your mouth want to say something?
Is your mouth craving to move a certain way?
I invite you for a minute to turn 360 degrees in a circle at the spot that you're at in the sacral chakra.
Take in this entire place in 360 degrees.
Notice details.
What stories are present?
What characters are here?
What dialogue is roaming in this chakra?
Slowly bringing your attention back to the lower abdomen where the sacral chakra is present.
And breathing in,
Feeling that area of your body move as you inhale.
And exhale,
Feeling the slight ocean wave of inhalation and exhalation.
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
And one more time,
Inhaling.
Feeling the body's undulation with each inhale and exhale.
And exhaling.
You may want to bring a little movement to your body just to begin to wake it up.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and grab your pen and paper.
You might start with writing any of the impressions that were left on you from the meditation.
And then moving into a stream of consciousness or free-form writing about your experience.
You might be here to write personally to learn more about yourself,
In which case you might think back to the meditation and open up one of the explorations we did in the sacral chakra.
Some of the words I mentioned in the beginning of the meditation were emotions,
Pleasure,
Abundance,
Creativity,
And sexuality.
And if you were writing more creatively,
What kind of characters are present in your sacral chakra?
What are they saying?
What do they need?
Where do they want to be?
What gets them motivated?
You might even want to describe the environment like a setting for a story.
So I'll be putting on about 15 minutes of frequency and music for you to write to.
And of course you can write longer,
But I'll be putting that on for you to have as a companion for your writing,
My friends.
Thank you so much for joining me.
