Hello and welcome.

I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Joanna Barrett,

Your guide for this morning meditation to begin your day with intention and a sense of inner light and inner strength.

Please take a moment to settle in whether you're sitting or lying down.

Allow your body to find a position that feels supportive and easeful.

Let yourself slow down.

There's nowhere you need to be right now except right here.

This is your time to reconnect,

To breathe,

And to simply be,

To start your day with intention.

With each breath,

Move a little closer to your inner light and inner strength,

Setting a grounded tone for the day ahead.

Let this be your sacred space to begin anew.

As your eyes soften or close,

Feel your breath moving in,

Out.

Let it be gentle,

Let it be soft.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Again,

Breathing in.

As you continue your soft,

Gentle breathing,

Slowly scan your body from head to toe.

Draw your awareness through your body.

Notice how you feel.

Not to fix anything,

Just to witness.

With deep awareness,

Imagine a soft,

Golden light glowing in the center of your chest,

Perhaps bringing a hand over your heart center,

To feel this warm,

Radiant,

And steady light within.

This is your inner light,

Your essence.

With every breath,

Let your inner light expand,

Spreading outward from your heart center,

Into your shoulders,

Your arms,

Down into your abdomen,

And pelvis,

Down each of your legs,

And your arms all the way to your fingertips and toes.

Allow this soft,

Golden light to glow throughout your body.

This is your inner strength,

Quiet and unwavering.

It lives within you.

It radiates from you.

Now,

Gently ask yourself,

What quality do I want to carry into today?

Perhaps calm,

Confidence,

Clarity,

Or another word that feels just right.

Breathe that intention in,

And let it fill every part of you.

Release it out on your exhale,

Into the universe,

To support you.

Now,

Silently,

Repeat your word to yourself,

Completing this sentence,

Today,

I choose.

Today,

I choose.

Today,

I choose.

Let this chosen word become your guidepost,

Your beacon of light for the day.

Now,

Rest here for a moment,

Allowing your intention to root deeply within you.

When you feel ready,

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Open your mouth,

And exhale it out with a sigh.

Begin to awaken your body.

Soft movements through your fingers and toes,

A gentle stretch,

A fuller breath.

Open your eyes slowly,

And step into your day with presence,

Purpose,

And the quiet knowing of your own inner light and strength.
