Welcome to a three-minute practice of self-care.
So to begin with,
As always,
Making yourself comfortable whatever position you're in.
Perhaps moving a little bit to make sure that you are comfortable.
And bring your hands to your heart if that feels okay,
Closing your eyes.
And as best you can noticing the natural movement of breathing.
Trying to make that the focus of your attention.
My mind will come in with other thoughts,
That's really normal.
We can always come back to the breath at the heart centre.
And keeping that light touch of your hands there.
Saint yourself.
May I be well.
May I be well.
May I be well.
And as best you can really putting your heart into it.
Putting your intention into it.
May I be safe.
May I be safe.
May I be safe.
Perhaps picturing yourself safe.
And secure.
And send yourself.
May I be happy.
May I be happy.
May I be happy.
Then choosing one or two of these phrases and just repeating them to yourself silently.
Putting your heart into it.
Putting your intention into it.
Really meaning it as best you can.
May I be well.
May I be safe.
May I be happy.
And then as we come to the end of the practice,
Letting your hands come to your sides,
Opening your eyes.
I'm going to keep this attitude of self-care throughout the rest of the day.
