Before your day pulls your attention in a hundred directions,
Let's get your system steady.
We aren't going to be doing breathwork or forced energy here.
Or using your eyes,
Your hands,
And your jaw,
Which are massive extensions of your brain itself.
We're going to use them to quiet the morning noise.
And clear your head for the day.
Let's begin.
You can sit comfortably however you are.
You might rock just to see your steadiness.
And you can keep your eyes open.
And let your hands rest wherever they naturally do.
You might start to soften your gaze here.
You see,
Your eyes are actually an exposed part of the central nervous system.
Instead of focusing on a single spot.
See if you can not move your eyes.
Start to notice the far left.
Far right.
The floor.
The ceiling.
Maybe any light?
All coming in without moving your eyes.
You're broadening your sight.
It uses eye mechanics to send physical signals straight to your brainstem.
This instantly turns down the internal overthinking.
Now let's check in on your jaw.
The brain sends extra signals here first.
It creates hidden tension called motor overflow.
See if you can unclench your jaw.
By dropping your tongue to the floor of your mouth.
And maybe widening your teeth.
Seeing that they aren't touching.
Just notice.
Next we'll move to our hands.
You can bring them together if you like.
Maybe a chest height.
This is another area of the body that has a lot of real estate in the brain.
Hands keeping us safe,
Doing our tasks.
See if you can press your palms firmly enough together.
To feel that pressure.
Maybe even press your feet into the floor.
And you might hold that steady pressure there.
And then let go.
You can let your palms rest up now.
Notice.
Sometimes these physical cues,
They pull your focus straight out of your head and right into the room,
Right into your body.
And see if you can bring to mind the main thing you needed to do to start the day.
Don't look at the whole project or the end result.
Just see if you can picture the very first thing.
The very first small effort.
And you might tell yourself.
This effort itself.
Is this starting?
It's a win.
When you accept that small bit of effort up front.
Your brain's reward pathway kicks in.
And it makes getting started feel more natural instead of forced.
You might just notice how you are here.
He's more steady.
Clear.
Just see what feels right here.
