Welcome to Somatic Signal.
I'm Jeremy,
A neurophysiologist.
Today we're going to generate a clean,
Natural morning energy from the inside out.
Without relying on caffeine spikes.
Or forced high-energy routines.
This under 5 minute reset.
.
.
Stimulate your biological alertness networks.
Your ascending reticular activating system.
Delivering a clear,
Synchronized wake-up call to your central nervous system.
Now let's get mobilized.
When you're ready.
Find your seat.
And see that you're studying.
You might place your feet flat on the floor,
Your spine tall.
Keep your eyes open with a wide panoramic view of the room.
You might make a small choice with your hands,
Laying them rest palms up or palms down.
Let's begin with a controlled rhythmic.
Diaphragmatic drive.
So this diaphragm,
This umbrella-shaped organ below your lungs.
You can picture it here and we're going to take 10 steady active breaths in through the nose.
And out through the nose if possible.
Active inhales powered by that area.
Followed by natural,
Unforced exhales.
Let's begin.
And find your inhale.
Find your exhale at your pace.
Keep these breaths steady and activated.
Making sure there's a level of effort.
And allow ease to bring the air.
Down through your nose.
Down through your lungs,
Through your chest.
Down into that umbrella-shaped organ of your diaphragm.
Letting that expand.
Expanding forward into your front.
Expanding into your back.
And then to your sides.
It's like 360 degrees,
Bruh.
On your next in-breath.
You might pause at the top.
Before your exhale.
Not holding your breath,
Just a short pause.
Letting it turn over,
Feeling the warm biological alert.
Feeling that signal spreading through your chest.
Into your brain.
This is clearing residual sleep fog.
Just see how your breath is coming and going on its own.
Let's go back to your eyes,
Soft,
Wide.
Check in on your posture.
I see you're still stable.
Now we can prime the motor cortex for action.
Mentally map out your exact physical transitions for the next 15 minutes.
Don't let this be too complex.
You might picture yourself standing up smoothly.
Moving into your workspace with precise posture.
Initiating your very first task with an unhurried resolve.
And then natural breath.
Visualizing smooth motor output in advance.
It can prime our neural pathways.
Making the physical transition into your day feel fluid and automatic.
Your system is now fully online and calibrated and ready for action.
Bookmark this reset so it's ready for your sluggish mornings.
