Hridayakasha is the heart space, focusing on the spaciousness of the heart, the mind stills and settles in the unchanging vast experience of the heart space. This meditation is a quick, short version to settle the mind in the heart space, recognizing who we are beyond the fluctuations of the mind. A quick recentering and bringing attention back to beinness.

Transcript

Come to sit in a comfortable seat for meditation,

Close the eyes,

Bring your attention to the space of your heart,

Hridayakash,

Behind your sternum,

In front of your spine,

Above the diaphragm,

Below the throat,

Feel that cavernous space,

The space of your heart.

As you breathe,

Notice the movement,

Expanding when you're inhaling,

Contracting when you're exhaling,

Expansion and contraction of the heart space.

Right in the center of the heart,

There is a flame,

A point of light.

The yogis say that the seat of the soul resides in the heart space as a point of light.

Look into the heart space and see a flame or a point of light.

Is it flickering?

Is it standing still?

Is it moving around?

Is it shining bright?

Is it dim?

The seat of the soul is unaffected by the waves of emotion,

Change,

Experiences,

Unaffected,

Unattached.

Keep looking into the flame,

Into the point of light and feel it become steady and still.

And as it becomes steady and still,

The mind too follows and becomes steady and still.

Knowing that when we identify with who we truly are,

We too,

The mind,

The ahamkara,

The sense of self,

The individual nature also feels unaffected,

Unattached.

Unattached,

Unaffected by the winds of change,

The winds of experiences,

The ups and downs of the emotions.

These things are coming and going.

Feel the mind settling into the steady stillness.

And even if it's just for a moment,

We realize,

We recognize that when we are identified with a higher vibration of who we are,

The experience can flow in and out of the space of consciousness,

Uninhibited.

The mind becomes steady.

The body is steady.

And the point of light,

The seat of consciousness,

The seat of the soul,

Steady.

And you move into the space of infinite expansion,

No beginning,

No end.

Infinite vastness.

Infinite space.

And the best we can call this is beingness,

The space of just being,

Beyond thought,

Beyond description,

Beyond separation,

In the vast space of the heart.

Allow yourself to rest here,

Deeply,

Deeply rest.

Absorb the higher vibrational energies to sustain the physical manifestation,

The physical materialization of the body,

The emotions,

And the mind.

Aum.

Shanti,

Shanti,

Shanti.
