Now we will practice the fourth set of the heavenly breath sequence.
This is the first part.
Here it's great circle breath,
Sitting comfortably,
Legs crossed in a chair or back against a wall if you wish.
Chin slightly down,
Tongue rolled up,
Eyebrows slightly raised.
Breathing into the lower abdomen through the back of the sinuses.
We first breathe and bring energy up the back of the spine to the crown.
And then we let the energy fall from the crown down the front of the spine
with a mantra which is Sa Hum,
Sa on the in-breath,
Hum on the out-breath.
Six repetitions begin.
Breathing in from the base,
Up the back of the spine,
Silently enunciating.
Feel the energy being drawn from the crown up the back of the spine to the crown.
Hold there.
On the out-breath,
Release,
Let the energy fall in front of the spine.
On the mantra Hum,
Breathing out.
Again,
Breathing in,
Silently enunciating.
Sa,
Into the crown,
Release,
Silently enunciating.
Hum,
Let the energy fall in front of the spine,
Down to the base.
And again,
Breathing in,
Sa,
Up the back of the spine to the crown.
Then release,
Silently enunciating,
Hum,
Let the energy fall down in front of the spine,
All the way to the base.
And again,
Breathing in,
Up the back of the spine,
Sa,
Being drawn from the crown all the way up the spine.
Releasing,
Letting it fall in front of the spine,
Hum,
All the way to the base.
And one more,
Breathing in,
Sa,
Being drawn up all the way to the crown.
Sa,
Release in front of the spine,
Hum,
Let the energy fall as the breath releases,
Down to the base.
One more,
Breathing in,
Up the base,
From the base,
Up the back of the spine to the crown,
Sa,
Hum,
Release in front of the spine,
Falling,
Hum.
Remember,
Tongue rolled up,
Chin down,
Eyebrows up.
Now,
We'll do a sequence,
A reverse,
In that the same mantra,
Sa,
Hum,
Feeling that the energy's being drawn from the crown.
That is,
Drawing it up from the base to the crown,
And then releasing from the crown,
Letting it fall back to the base.
This time,
We'll come breathing in
with the breath on the front of the torso.
So coming up in front of the spine,
Mantra,
Sa,
Breathing in,
Sa,
Hum,
Up to the crown.
Release on the mantra,
Hum,
Hum,
Let the blood and energy and chi fall down through the back of the spine,
To the base.
Again,
Breathe in,
Sa,
Hum,
To the crown,
Release,
Let it fall down the back of the spine,
Hum,
And again,
Breathe in,
Up the front,
Sa,
Hum,
Hum,
And then release from the crown,
Let it fall down the back of the spine,
Hum,
And again,
Breathing in,
Hum,
Sa,
Hum,
Into the crown,
Let it release from the crown,
Down the back of the spine,
Hum,
Hum,
And again,
From the base,
Up the front of the spine,
Breathing in,
Sa,
Up into the crown,
From the crown,
Release,
Let the energy and blood
fall down through the back of the spine to the base,
Hum,
And relax,
Normal,
Conscious breathing.
Now,
We'll do the second part of the fourth set,
This sequence,
We bring our breath directly up
and down Sushumna Channel,
Like that of a piston in a cylinder,
Gently,
Nicely,
Smiling.
This time,
We move our tongue up to the arch of the roof of the mouth,
Chin down,
Eyebrows
slightly up,
Abdominal breath,
As we breathe in,
Feel the energy coming from the base of the spine
up the central channel of Sushumna,
Which is one little finger width in front of the spinal cord,
And itself is the width of about a human hair.
The mantra is on the in-breath,
Sa,
F-A,
And on the out-breath,
Me,
M-E,
Silently enunciated,
Such that the tone draws the
energy up and down Sushumna Channel.
Begin,
Breathing in from the base of the spine,
Up the central channel,
Drawing energy into the middle of the head,
Fold the energy in the middle of the head and bring it back down with the mantra,
Me,
Down Sushumna.
Long breath,
Abdominal breath,
Tongue rolled up,
Eyebrows up,
From the base now,
Breathing in,
Sa,
Up Sushumna Channel,
Into the middle of the head,
Fold the energy,
Allow it to release down into Sushumna,
Me.
Allow it to release down into Sushumna,
Me.
At the base,
Breathing in,
Fa,
Draw energy up the spine into the middle of the head,
Fold the energy with Me,
Bring the energy down Sushumna,
Allow it to fall to the base.
Again,
Breathing the energy,
Fa,
Up the spine from the base,
Into the middle of the head,
Fold the energy back down,
Sushumna,
Me,
Silently enunciating.
To the base,
From the base again,
Breathing in,
Sushumna Channel,
Just in front of the spinal cord,
Fa,
Up the spine into the middle of the head,
In the middle of the head,
Fold the energy,
Back down spinal channel,
Sushumna,
Me.
To the base,
And one more,
Breathing in,
From the base,
Sushumna,
Fa,
Up Sushumna,
Into the middle of the head,
Me,
Fold the energy,
Let it fall down Sushumna,
And relax in normal conscious breath.
Sit in meditation,
Silent meditation,
No mantras,
Just observe,
Watch,
Watch your spine,
Watch your mind,
Watch yourself.
Slowly allow yourself to completely relax the heartbeat,
Resolve the breath,
Both to the minimum necessary,
To keep you comfortable.
Observe self,
Continue here for as long as you wish.
Thank you,
Namaste.
