Hello beautiful soul.
I'm Kayla and I'm here to guide you through a few simple short moments of self-compassion.
Find a comfortable seat or lie down whatever feels right to you and gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Allow your breath to bring you into this moment.
Allow yourself to be right here right now.
This is your time.
As you continue to breathe,
Simply notice your breath.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest and as you continue to breathe,
Bring your attention to any sensations in your body,
Any tenseness,
Any suppleness.
Just notice what is there without trying to change or label or judge.
Any part of your experience.
If you do notice tension,
That's okay.
Simply observe it and allow your breath to flow around it.
As you continue to breathe,
Notice the thoughts.
Allow yourself to see them notice them and allow them to just keep on passing by.
If it helps,
You can imagine that each thought is a leaf floating in a river that's just being carried gently down the stream.
The thought just is and it is passing by peacefully.
No reason to judge or spend too much time on any one thought.
Just notice them and continue to breathe.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and a big full exhale through your mouth.
Noticing your body settle and relax.
Notice your jaw loosen.
Notice your face become soft.
Notice your shoulders settle.
Unclench.
Soften into your seat or into the ground beneath you and prepare your heart and mind and soul to receive the gift of self-compassion.
Silently repeat these words to yourself or out loud if you choose.
I am enough just as I am and kindness into my heart.
I treat myself with the same love,
Respect,
And tenderness that I would show to a loved friend or family member.
Unique contributions to this world.
Let these words settle with each breath.
Continuing to breathe gently.
If your mind wanders or you notice other thoughts come,
That's okay.
Allow them to just float down the stream on the leaves like a boat.
And gently return your focus to your breath and to your heart space and how it feels to receive love and compassion from yourself.
Continue to breathe slowly and calmly.
Allowing yourself to simply be.
Accept all that is without judgment.
Anything that arises in this moment is just fine.
This is your time to care for yourself.
Notice how it feels to look to yourself with love and offer yourself an internal embrace.
Imagine yourself being surrounded by love and compassion like a warm hug.
And when you're ready,
Take a final deep breath and begin to bring your awareness back to the room.
Wiggle your toes and your fingers and gently open your eyes.
And thank yourself for this moment of calm,
Peace,
And self-compassion.
Take it with you as a gift that you can carry through the rest of your day.
And thank you for taking this beautiful time to nourish yourself.
I'll talk to you soon.
