Overwhelm affects us all at various times, and although it's hard, we have the resilience to cope. EFT, or tapping, can give you a very practical tool that makes you feel as though you have some measure of control over this feeling. Let me lead you through this sequence and give you a hand to hold while you gather your strength again. Composer - Music Of Wisdom

Today I'd like to walk you through an emotional freedom technique,

Or tapping sequence,

To deal with feelings of overwhelm.

We all get overwhelmed.

It sucks,

But we can deal with it,

And I'm going to help you today.

I'd like you to start by taking a deep breath and rating your level of overwhelm on a scale of 1 to 10.

Where are you at the moment?

10 is the highest.

Take a few more deep breaths as you settle in.

Just allow yourself to be where you are today.

And then I'd like you to start tapping on the karate chop point on this side of your hand.

And repeat after me,

Either out loud or in your head,

Or you can just listen and let my voice do the magic.

Even though I feel completely overwhelmed right now,

I deeply and completely accept myself.

Even though there's too much on my plate and I don't know how to handle it all,

I'm open to finding peace.

Even though this overwhelm feels unbearable,

I choose to be kind and patient with myself.

Now we're going to move through the tapping points.

Come to your eyebrow.

I'm so overwhelmed.

The side of your eye.

There's too much to do.

Under your eye.

I can't handle all of this.

Under your nose.

I feel like I'm drowning in responsibilities.

On your chin.

This overwhelm is exhausting.

On your collarbone.

I don't know where to start.

Under your arm.

I feel paralyzed by all I need to do.

On the top of your head.

This feeling of overwhelm is too much.

Take a deep breath.

Allow yourself to be here.

And we're going to introduce some more empowering thoughts.

Back to your eyebrow.

What if I could find a way to manage this?

The side of your eye.

I've handled challenging situations before.

Under your eye.

I'm capable of taking things one step at a time.

Under your nose.

I give myself permission to prioritize.

On your chin.

I can ask for help when I need it.

On your collarbone.

It's okay to take breaks and care for myself.

Under your arm.

I trust in my ability to get through this.

On top of your head.

I am stronger than I realize.

Take another deep breath.

Check in with your feelings.

And we'll go through another round.

Come back to your eyebrow.

I choose to approach my tasks with calm and focus.

The side of your eye.

I give myself permission to do what I can and let go of the rest.

Under the eye.

I am learning to set healthy boundaries.

Under your nose.

I trust in my ability to prioritize effectively.

On your chin.

I release the need to do everything perfectly.

On your collarbone.

I am allowed to take things one step at a time.

Under your arm.

I choose to be gentle with myself as I navigate this busy time.

On top of your head.

I am capable,

Resourceful and managing well.

Take a final deep breath and reassess your level of overwhelm.

And notice any shifts in your feelings or any physical sensations.

I'd like you to come back to your karate chop tapping point now.

Tap gently and repeat after me.

I acknowledge that I've been feeling overwhelmed.

But I choose to approach my responsibilities with calm and confidence.

I trust in my ability to manage my tasks effectively.

I give myself permission to take breaks,

Ask for help and prioritize self-care.

I am capable,

Resilient and worthy of peace and balance.

Remember you can come back to this tapping sequence any time you're feeling overwhelmed.

Regular practice can help to reinforce these positive affirmations.

It can become easier to manage feelings of overwhelm in the future.

And remember you can just choose your favorite affirmations at any time on your own.

You don't need a whole tapping sequence.

You can just choose a point in the car,

In the bathroom.

Tap and repeat your affirmations to yourself.

It will all help.

I wish you strength as you navigate this overwhelming time.

Take it one breath at a time and have a wonderful day.
