Hello and welcome in my friends.
I go by Honey Bee and I'll be your love and intimacy coach for this sleepy time session.
I'm super excited to share with you this shared rest and connection for couples meditation.
Tonight you will share this space with someone you love,
Whether you are partners,
Friends,
Soul companions or lovers.
This practice is about honoring each other,
Resting together and surrendering into deep restorative sleep.
This is similar to a yoga nidra where you invite presence into the body scan with full awareness.
However at the end of the body scan you are invited to fall asleep to fully restore and reset from your day.
Find a comfortable position lying side by side,
Spooning near each other,
Lying in a way that feels natural to both of you.
Allowing your hands to rest gently on each other's bodies,
Placing pillows where you will find the most comfort.
And as you find where your hands will settle,
Perhaps consider over the heart,
Arms or hands.
Wherever feels safe and loving.
Take a deep intentional breath,
Inhaling and exhaling fully as you arrive.
Allow your awareness to expand not just to your own body but to the presence of your partner beside you.
Here we co-create this ritual space,
Our ceremony to slumber,
Our shared space for healing and safety.
Imagine a gold ring of light that surrounds us through space and time,
Swirling around you both,
Creating a fortress of protection and love.
This gold ring of light wards off any energies that do not serve your highest good.
And if you have a practice of prayer,
I invite you to pray or call on God,
Your inner being,
Guides or loving energies into the space for your collective healing.
During this session,
I will invite you into prompts that will guide the meditation.
Please know this is always an invitation and never a command.
Listen to what your heart and body say and do what feels right for you.
This gold aura and presence protects you and guides you.
Feel its warmth.
This gold energy initiates the beginning of your sleepy session.
As you settle into your most comfortable and shared positions,
I invite you to close your eyes and begin to absorb the shared sensations in your body.
Feel the comfort wash over your bodies.
I now invite you for three collective breaths to initiate our session.
Breathe in softly,
Safely,
Slowly.
Bow with a long,
Sustained,
Intentional let go.
Collective breath,
Nice and slow.
Exhale gently and generously out.
And as you breathe in your own natural,
I invite you to silently plant an intention for this practice in your mind.
Perhaps it is may we rest deeply,
Feel safely and connect.
Or it may be something along the lines of may we heal and evolve to our highest timelines.
And go ahead and take a moment to think of your personal intention.
And as you find this intention,
I invite you to say it in your mind or gently whisper it.
Allow these intentions to settle as they spark alignment to this session.
Now I invite you to feel the rhythm of your partner's breathing.
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of their chest or the warmth of their skin.
The life that is present in their hands or on their body.
See if you can breathe in harmony,
Softly,
Easily.
Finding each other's rhythm of breath.
Inhale and gently exhale and settle.
Imagine each inhale drawing calm,
Peace and love into both of you.
Allowing each exhale to release tension,
Worries and thoughts from the day.
As you breathe and inhale together,
Even if it's not perfectly synchronized,
Simply notice the shared energy of two beings resting side by side.
Hands,
This light is soft,
Safe and soothing.
It moves gently over your bodies bringing relaxation,
Comfort and deep connection.
As you feel this light traveling from your hands through your arms,
Connecting to your partner's hands.
Allow this light to flow through your chest,
Down through your legs and out through your feet.
Noticing the rhythm of your partner's breathing.
Notice the rise and the fall of your own.
Can you sense the subtle vibration of presence?
Your partner is here breathing.
I will guide you slowly into your restorative sleep.
Allow your body to settle into the surface beneath you.
Let the bed or the floor receive your weights fully.
You are supported.
Taking a gentle breath in through the nose and the slow unforced sigh out through the mouth.
Once more taking in a gentle breath in like the waves that are soft and gentle.
They flow in a wave over the surface of the sand.
This is a practice of non-doing.
No need to listen perfectly.
If sleep comes,
Let it take you.
As you bring your attention to the top of your head,
Or of light surrounding as it slowly moves down through your forehead,
Smoothing out your brow line,
Gently flowing over your eyes as they relax.
Moving this beautiful gold light over the cheeks as it softens.
And as your jaw feels loose,
Allowing tension to relax,
Soften.
Tongue is resting,
Softening.
Now bring your awareness of this gold light to the right side of your body.
Feeling the warmth in the right thumb.
Moving to your index finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Warmth of the light touches the palm of your hand.
Radiating to the back of your hand.
Down into your wrist.
Your right forearm.
And shoulder.
As this warm gold light moves from the shoulder connecting to the left shoulder across the back of your body.
Bring awareness to the left side of your body.
See this warm light surrounding your left thumb.
Index finger.
Moving to your middle finger.
Ring finger.
Allowing this light to move into the palm of your left hand as it radiates to the back of your hand.
Flowing down into your wrist.
Your forearm.
Back up to your shoulder.
Your left side softens.
Heavy.
At ease.
Bringing the awareness of the gold light is at the back of your body.
Flowing down the back of your head.
Middle.
And down through to your lower back.
Swirling around the hips as they come to a deeper rest.
Allowing this light to flow to the back of your legs.
Your heels.
Comforting the entire back of the body as it sinks downward.
You gently melt into your wrist.
Gently bringing awareness to the front of the body.
Let your hands rest on each other's chests or arms.
Feeling the warmth.
The chests are gently rising and falling.
Belly is soft.
This warm golden light gently moves through your torso back down the hips.
Sensing both your own body and the presence of your partner.
It continues down the front of your legs.
Warming up the knees.
The calves.
The feet.
The weight of gravity gently holding you both.
The floor supporting you.
The bed holding you.
The earth catching you.
Take your sweet and gentle time here where time doesn't exist.
Allowing your hands to rest where they feel most connected.
In a gentle touch.
A soft hold.
Simply presence.
The whole body is quiet.
Held in a field of silence and restoration.
Notice the natural rhythm and the sensation of your breath.
Imagine each exhale releasing the day.
Thoughts drifting away like clouds dissolving at dusk.
If a thought appears,
Let it pass.
You do not need to follow it.
Allow it to float away like a balloon in the sky.
Simply imagine a feeling of safety surrounding the two of you.
Holding you in this warm cocoon.
Feel your collective oneness growing heavier.
Melting into the honeypot.
Your nervous system unwinds.
Your muscles let go.
And even the space between your thoughts soften.
If your mind wanders,
Gently return to your breath and the sensation of your partner's presence by your anchor.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to sink into your slumber.
Fully surrender,
Letting your nervous system settle.
And gently acknowledge this presence of slumber.
As you feel the gratitude for this shared rest,
There is nothing else to do.
Nowhere to go.
Only to breathe.
I now invite you to allow yourself to drift off into slumber and enjoy the sounds of the evening night.
