Navigating Challenges,
Day One.
Creating space.
Welcome to today's meditation and the first step on your journey.
Begin by settling into a comfortable,
Balanced position.
You can do this meditation lying down.
Seated,
Kneeling or standing,
Whatever makes you feel safe and steady.
As you settle in,
Tune into your body.
Noticing where you're holding tension and where your body is relaxed.
Start with three slow breaths.
Breathing in gently.
But fully.
And exhaling through slightly pursed lips with a gentle whoosh.
To help you relax,
Let the exhale be a little longer than the inhale.
Use the inhale to intentionally fill and refresh your cells.
Use the exhale to release tension from your face,
Your shoulders,
Your fingers.
As you inhale,
Notice how your chest rises,
Creating space.
And as you exhale,
Notice how your body naturally releases tension.
Allow the breath to gently breathe the body in a slow and steady rhythm.
Notice if you're holding tension in your forehead or around your eyes.
On your exhale,
Let it go.
If there's tension in your jaw or your tongue,
Allow the jaws to separate slightly and for the tongue to relax in the mouth.
As your face relaxes,
Release any mental pressure or mental noise.
You don't need to fight or condemn it,
Just let it go.
For right now,
There's nothing you need to fix or resolve.
The more you let your face and mind relax,
The more space you create for brainstorming.
Allow yourself to relax and create mental space.
Bring your attention to your shoulders,
Noticing if they're curling forward or lifted towards your ears.
Bring your shoulder blades together gently,
Realigning your body.
And allowing your chest to rise and fall more freely.
Notice any tension in your arms and hands.
And release it on your next exhale.
Inhale gently,
Letting the chest rise.
And on the exhale,
Breathe away tightness from your hips,
Legs,
And feet.
Every bit of space you create changes your ability to act.
To respond,
Not react.
Now let's fill that space with what will support you today.
Breathe in strength.
Know that inside you is everything you will need to meet this challenge.
All you have to do is take one step.
Then rebalance.
Regroup.
And take the next step.
Knowing you'll become stronger and steadier with each step.
Breathe in strength.
Next,
Breathe in agency and the ability to choose your next step.
Knowing you don't have to know or decide everything today.
Just the next step.
And after that,
The next.
While you gain strength and momentum.
Breathe in agency.
Now breathe in confidence,
Sitting up tall and letting it fill you.
Feel strong and steady.
Not because the road will be simple and straight,
But because you can navigate this path one step at a time.
And that with every step you gain clarity and wisdom.
Breathe in confidence.
Breathe in fully.
And breathe out gently.
Feel the steady rhythm of your heartbeat.
A new breath.
You can remain here as long as you like or come back to your breath whenever you need throughout the day.
