Welcome to this full moon meditation.
This meditation is best practiced around the time of the full moon,
But can also be practiced any time you need an uplifting hand towards gratitude,
Abundance,
Love,
And joy.
Find a comfortable seated position.
Take a big breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Two more,
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Last one,
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Find length through the spine.
Pull up from the crown of your head.
Tuck your chin a millimeter towards your chest to find a gentle lengthening of the neck.
Settle into your shape.
Feel a heaviness at the base of your spine.
Gravity and the weight of your body pulling you towards the earth.
Your hips soften.
Thighs soften.
Knees grow heavy,
Reaching towards the earth.
Your ankles and feet are rooted to the ground.
Follow that downward current of energy,
Starting from the top of the head,
Traveling down the spine,
And anchoring you into the ground.
At the same time,
Feel an upward pull of energy along the spine.
A current running up from the base of your spine,
Upwards between your shoulder blades,
Up your neck,
And at the crown of your head,
Connecting you to the heavens.
Breath in.
Breath out.
Breath in.
Breath in.
The full moon is a time of abundance,
Of recognizing and sending gratitude to all of the blessings you have in your life.
This is the time of confidence,
Of knowing yourself,
Of loving yourself,
While also boldly sending love and gratitude to your loved ones.
The full moon is of the fire element,
The element of passion,
Love,
And joy.
Fire lives around the solar plexus,
Upper abdomen,
And sternum,
And into the heart space,
The space where you feel the warmth of love,
The heat of passion,
Or the fire of transformation.
Become aware of this space in your body.
Slowly and deeply breathe into this space.
Inhaling,
Feeling your belly rise.
Exhaling,
Feeling your belly fall.
Breath in.
Breath in.
Continue breathing like this from the belly,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Feel the warmth of your solar plexus.
Feel the beat of your heart.
Feel the fire of digestion in your stomach.
Deep breath in.
Deep breath out.
Become aware of your diaphragm moving as you breathe.
Inhale,
Your diaphragm draws down,
Pulling air into your body.
Exhale,
Your diaphragm pushes up,
Pressing air out from your lungs.
Inhale,
Diaphragm draws down.
Exhale,
Diaphragm presses up.
Keep breathing deeply from the diaphragm as we move into a visualization.
Imagine a brilliant and bright full moon exists in your heart space.
See with your mind's eye the white light of the round moon flooding your heart center,
Illuminating the core of your body in moonlight.
The glowing moon gently pulsates with every heartbeat.
With every inhale,
The moonlight grows stronger and brighter.
The warm glow of the moonlight overflows out of your heart space.
A fiery but gentle energy floods every space in your body,
The abundance of light carrying feelings of love and gratitude into every nook and cranny.
The warm glow radiates out from your solar plexus and heart space and floods down your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Your forearms,
Your wrists,
Your hands,
Your fingers.
The light spills down your spine and torso and into your belly,
Lower back,
Pelvis,
Shins,
Calves,
Ankles,
Feet,
Toes.
The warm light washes up your neck,
Into your jaw,
Your face,
Your forehead,
The back of your head,
Radiating out of the top of your head.
The light of the full moon exists within you.
The warmth and gratitude of love fill every crevice of your body,
Offering love for the self and extending out to your loved ones.
The glow of your moon continues to shine as you slowly bring awareness back to the breath.
Feeling cool air flow in through your nose,
Feeling warm air flow out.
Big breath in.
Big breath out.
Awareness comes back into your body.
Notice the sensations you feel in your physical body.
A gentle tingle,
A light buzzing,
Or calm stillness.
Notice the sensations you feel in your energetic body.
Perhaps love,
Joy,
Passion,
Abundance,
Or gratitude.
Perhaps a feeling of restfulness,
Ease,
Or calm.
Carrying any lingering sensations with you into your night.
Slowly gather your hands at heart center.
We share a final breath of love and thanks for yourself,
Your loved ones,
And the moon.
Big breath in.
Big breath out.
Take good care.
