Welcome.

Our focus today is the truth.

You are loved.

Sitting in our lovability or loveliness with our Creator fills our otherwise empty cups as moms.

Sit back,

Listen,

And engage with the Spirit as you feel God's unconditional love.

Let's begin.

Has motherhood challenged you so much you have questioned your worth?

Perhaps these questions sound familiar.

Do I even have enough love to give?

Have you ever wondered if you're loved warts and all?

These feelings are all too common and valid concerns for moms.

It can be hard to strike the right balance of self-love and love of others,

Especially in a role that requires so much of us.

Raising children inevitably triggers old wounds and yet it offers an opportunity to open ourselves to heal that wounded self.

If you are questioning your worth and lovability,

You are not alone.

God wants to affirm you and reassure you right now.

Your worth is not in what you do but who you are or rather who you are becoming.

You are a work of art and a work in progress.

In progress is good.

Growing is good.

You are good.

See yourself through God's eyes of love.

Lamentations 3 22 and 23 says,

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed.

For His compassions never fail.

They are new every morning.

Great is your faithfulness.

And Jeremiah 31 3 says,

I have loved you with an everlasting love.

I have continued my faithfulness to you.

God's love is a bottomless well that never runs dry.

We can come back to Him,

A wellspring of forgiveness and love and always be filled back up again.

Take a moment now to take some deep centering breaths.

Breathing in and breathing out as you repeat the affirmation,

I am loved.

Saying I am on the in breath and loved on the out breath.

I am.

I am.

I am loved.

Let's open ourselves up through prayer.

God,

There are days when being a mom causes me to question my worth.

I wish I could give and do more,

But I have limits.

I am only human.

I get poured out.

Help me to remember that you are there to refresh and renew me and fill me back up again.

When I feel completely poured out,

Let me come to you.

May I be like a tree planted by a riverbank.

Help me to remember that you have loved me with an everlasting love.

Your love is without condition.

You simply love because I am.

Because I exist,

I am loved.

It's the same with my child.

I love them and yet I am still human with limited capacity.

Spirit,

Love with me and through me.

When I am poured out,

Fill all the cracks.

Spring forth new life in the desert with a fresh outpouring of your lavish love.

I invite you to gently rest your hands over your heart.

Physically bring attention and awareness to your heart space.

The place that symbolizes love.

Let this truth take root in you in this tangible way.

Feeling the warmth of your hands on your heart as you lock in that truth.

I am loved.

As you listen to this next passage of scripture,

Let that truth take root even more.

Ephesians 3 17 through 19.

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

And I pray that you being rooted and established in love may have power together with all the Lord's holy people to grasp how wide and how long,

How high and how deep is the love of Christ.

And to know this love that surpasses all knowledge.

That you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

What a wonderful grace to be so loved by the Creator of the universe.

The one who set all the planets and all within them in motion.

And yet He sees you.

He cares about you.

Made you.

And loves you like a daddy.

Mama,

You are loved.

Feel yourself fill up with the water of God's refreshing and life-giving love right now.

Allow your hands to gently fall to your lap as you receive whatever it is you need from God now.

Whatever you need for this day.

Picture in your mind your heart pulsing with a glowing light.

The light growing more and more brightly as you receive.

Stay here as long as you need.

And when you feel like you have received what's needed,

You may end this practice.
