Hello and welcome.
In today's meditation we're going to be focusing on the breath.
So I invite you to find a comfortable seat,
Elongate your spine,
Relax and soften your eyes,
Closing them if it feels comfortable.
And focusing on breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Feeling your belly rise on your inhale and fall on your exhale.
Finding peace,
Calmness.
Feeling how easy it is to breathe.
That really takes no focus,
No energy at all.
Yet with every breath you are re-energized.
Every breath you inhale new life and exhale what no longer serves you.
You are doing this constantly throughout the day.
Your body is always providing for you.
You don't even have to ask.
The breath is just always there for you.
So now I invite you to bring in this feeling of gratitude.
Gratitude not only for the breath but for the body.
Gratitude because every single breath you take is giving you more and more life.
More and more energy.
And it is something that is natural and easy and it just flows for you.
Returning your attention to your inhale.
Feeling the cool air rush in your nostrils.
Following the path of the breath down your throat.
Allowing the breath to fill your chest and your belly.
And exhale allowing the breath to flow naturally from your mouth.
Feeling everything deflate.
Another inhale.
Allowing your body to soften and relax.
And exhale.
Feeling the freedom of allowing that full breath out.
Now I want you to inhale fully the largest breath that you have taken all day.
And then once you feel like the breath is full up to your chest take another few sips filling the throat with air.
And hold for just two seconds.
And then release fully.
Again inhale.
Holding the breath at the top.
And exhaling.
And now holding the breath at the bottom for two seconds.
And then inhale again.
And exhale.
Noticing how easy it is to control your breath.
How much control you have over what gives you life.
That even though this is something that is providing you with the ability to live.
You are the most powerful creature.
Because you are deciding how to breathe.
And the things that are keeping you alive do not have control over you.
You are the most powerful person in your life.
Not your breath.
Not those around you.
When you put your attention and your focus on what you want around you.
You are the one in control.
You are the one who allows in that new breath when you are ready.
Who is able to hold in all of that energy and all of that life force.
And you choose when to release.
And you choose when to call in new life.
Because you are strong enough.
You are more powerful.
And you are more incredible than you ever thought possible.
Breathing in one final time for this meditation.
Inhaling allowing your belly to rise.
Allowing your chest to rise.
Taking another sip of air filling your throat.
Holding with all this life force energy.
And then exhaling through your mouth slowly.
Full control.
And holding on your exhale.
Allowing your breath to go back to normal.
Knowing how powerful you are.
