Welcome in,

Before we begin,
Make sure you are in a safe,
Comfortable space where you will not be disturbed.
This practice is best done lying down or in a seated position where your body can fully relax and you are safe.
Never do this while driving,
In water,
Or anywhere your full attention cannot be here.
As you settle in,
Allow your body to soften.
Let your shoulders drop,
Relax your jaw,
Unclench your hands,
And take a moment to arrive.
Today we're doing three rounds of dynamic breath work.
In each round,
You'll breathe in 40 times through the mouth.
Each inhale comes in like a wave.
First the belly,
Then the chest,
And then you'll sigh the breath out.
So it sounds like this.
Again,
Breathing deep into the belly,
Then moving the breath up into the chest,
And sighing the breath out,
Letting it all go on the exhale.
We keep that rhythm going for 40 breaths.
After the 40th breath,
You'll take one deep breath in,
And then exhale all the air out of your lungs.
From there,
You'll move into the breath hold.
For the first round,
You'll hold for one minute.
On the second,
One minute and 30 seconds,
And on the third round,
Two minutes.
And listen carefully here.
If at any point during the breath hold you need air before the timer is up,
That is completely okay.
You'll simply take one deep inhale in,
And then blow the air back out,
And continue holding empty until the time is complete.
No force,
No strain,
And no ego.
So,
We're here to expand,
Not to fight ourselves like maniacs in a parking lot.
Just breathe,
Just feel,
Just stay with the body.
Now,
Take one slow,
Deep breath in through the nose,
Filling up the belly,
And filling up the chest,
Hold,
Feel,
My friend.
One more deep inhale in through the nose,
Filling up the belly,
Now moving the breath into the chest,
Filling up all the way till you can't breathe anymore,
And hold.
And for a moment,
Unfold your awareness into nothing.
Feeling the body,
Seeing the blackness behind your closed eyes.
We will begin in three,
Two,
Take a deep inhale in through the mouth,
Filling up all the way.
Now,
Take a few normal breaths in through the nose,
Feeling into the body,
Settling even deeper into the beautiful present moment.
Thirty seconds left.
Deep inhale in through the mouth,
And sigh the breath out.
Now allow your breathing to return to normal.
No effort,
No control,
Just natural breath.
Feel your body.
Notice the energy in your hands,
Your chest,
Your face,
Your belly.
Notice what feels different now.
Notice what feels quieter.
Notice what feels more alive.
You just moved breath,
You moved energy,
You opened space.
Stay here for a moment and receive that.
No need to jump up right away.
No need to rush back into the world.
Just lie here.
Just feel.
Begin to deepen the breath.
Gently wiggle the fingers and the toes.
And ever so slowly,
In your own time,
Come back.
