Good morning school.
Meditation for children.
Sit or lie down somewhere comfortable.
Let your hands rest softly by your sides.
Now take a slow deep breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Let's do that two more times.
Breathe in nice and slow.
And breathe out letting your body relax.
One more time.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
Now imagine a warm golden light above your head.
This light is calm,
Happy and full of kindness.
As you breathe in imagine the golden light slowly filling your body.
It fills your head,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your tummy,
Your legs,
All the way down to your toes.
This light helps you feel calm,
Confident and ready for the day.
Quietly say in your mind,
Today I will try my best.
I am kind to others.
I am brave and courageous.
I can handle whatever the day brings.
Now imagine yourself at school smiling.
You are learning new things.
You are being kind.
You are having a good day.
Take one more slow breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
When you are ready open your eyes.
Your day is ready.
And so are you.
