Creating problems that requires action,
Physical action.
For example,
In the middle of the thought,
When you catch yourself,
Ask yourself,
Have I had enough water today?
You have to stand,
Walk and go have some water.
This is a problem that requires an action and you can solve it.
In between these actions,
Your thoughts will become weaker and weaker.
Another example,
In the middle of these thoughts,
Ask yourself,
When was the last time I booked an appointment with a dentist?
Pick up the phone and call your dentist.
This is a problem that can be solved with a phone call.
The more problems that you create like this,
That can be solved with this physical action,
Your mind will be occupied solving these problems instead of bringing up the past that there is no way for you to fix.
Finding these problems is a lot easier than starting to think positive thoughts.
So next time you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts,
Ask yourself,
Did I have enough water today?
Did I take my vitamins?
When was the last time I went for a checkup to my doctor?
Anything that requires action.
