A Moment for Mother is a guided meditation created especially for mothers who give so much to everyone around them. In the beautiful chaos of caring for others, it's easy to lose yourself, to forget that you, too, need tenderness, rest and replenishment. This practice is your permission to pause, to breathe, and to remember who you are beyond all the roles you carry. With regular practice, this meditation becomes a refuge you can return to whenever you feel depleted or overwhelmed. It reminds you that taking care of yourself is not selfish, it is essential. This moment is for you to fill your cup again.

Hello,

Dear heart.

You are likely here because you are searching for respite,

A moment of peace.

I understand the lengths that it took for you to be here,

And I really want to honour you for showing up here,

For showing up for yourself when there is so many things to take care of,

So much responsibility.

And these moments are so important to replenish,

Arc up,

To take a pause,

To check in.

And say,

Well,

How am I really feeling?

And often those feelings feel hard to reach because we are so used to tending to other's needs,

And I want you to know that you matter,

Your needs,

Your life,

It matters.

So,

Well done for being here and taking this moment,

And so just inviting you to close down the eyes,

Maybe place a hand on the heart.

And let's take three nice,

Deep breaths together,

Feeling the gentle rise and fall of the chest.

Just arriving in this moment,

And just feeling the ground beneath you,

The seat bones,

The earth as the anchor for this practice,

This practice of presence.

There is really nothing to do other than be here,

Just in this moment,

So simple and yet so profound.

Just noticing in this space what arises,

Know that whatever comes is welcome,

It may be relief,

It may be tears,

It may be numbness,

Whatever it is,

Welcome it,

Let's sit with this part of ourselves that wants to be felt,

Witnessed,

And know that this space is safe,

This is your safe space,

And this place you can access at any time,

And so maybe giving the chest a little rub,

And offering yourself some love,

This moment of presence,

This moment of presence,

What a gift to be able to give ourselves,

And in these few intentional moments,

So much can shift,

Just by simply being with what is,

Nowhere to go,

No one to be,

So just taking a few more moments in this safe space that we have cultivated together,

Just really allowing yourself to land,

Thank you for taking this time for you,

It's time to practice presence and self-love,

And when you feel ready,

Just gently opening the eyes.
