Welcome to this guided meditation,

A prayer for protection.

So when you are ready,

Let's find a position of comfort and gently closing down the eyes.

If you want to maybe placing a hand on your heart and now let's take three centering breaths together.

Breathing in through the nose and then exhaling through the mouth.

And again,

With the out breath allowing the body to soften,

To relax.

And one more time,

Just settling into this space now.

Know that this time is for you and that you are safe.

Nothing can touch you here and you can return to this space at any time.

I know at times the world feels unsteady,

Uncertain and unsafe.

I know how hard it is to navigate at times,

How scary and overwhelming and confusing it can be,

But just know this quiet space inside you,

This place is your sanctuary and so let's place a hand on our heart if we haven't already and repeat this prayer,

These affirmations.

I am safe in my body.

I am protected from all types of harm.

My heart is my sanctuary.

I am loved and I am safe.

And take a nice big breath in and exhale through the mouth.

Allow those words to land in your body.

These words of affirmation are a prayer,

They literally shift your biology from fight or flight into safety,

Into healing and know that you are protected and you can use these words and this meditation each day to support your healing,

Your safety,

Your inner world and despite the external circumstances,

Your heart is an inner sanctuary that no circumstance,

No person can take from you and once you really understand this,

You will realize that you are always protected,

That love is your nature and so when you feel ready,

Wiggling fingers and toes and gently opening your eyes.
