I'd like to share a tapping sequence that you can follow if you're feeling intense emotions around the way your body has changed because of a medical condition,
An injury,
Or aging,
So that when you see those changes you can feel more neutral.
To begin this process,
I ask you to go find a photo of yourself that shows a change that you've gone through.
And I recommend not picking the most extreme photo to begin with.
Find a gentle place to start the process.
Now with the photo in front of you,
I want you to notice the first emotion that comes up.
Now scan your body to find where that emotion is located.
And then recognize how intensely you're feeling that emotion and give it a number one to 10.
Now let's begin the sequence.
Start with both your feet flat on the floor.
And take a deep breath in.
Let it out.
Begin tapping on this side of the hand.
Even now.
I'm looking at this photo.
I see the change I've gone through.
Brings up this emotion.
I feel this emotion in my body.
Right here and right now.
I'm okay.
Even now.
I see this change in my body.
And now I'm feeling this emotion.
I am open.
To accepting this emotion.
Even now.
I see this change in my body.
And I feel this emotion.
I feel this emotion in my body.
I am open.
To accepting this emotion.
Eyebrow points.
This change in my body.
Side of the eye.
It makes me feel this emotion.
Under the eye.
I feel this emotion in my body now.
Under the nerves.
This emotion connected to the change.
Okay.
This emotion I feel in my body.
Collarbone.
The change my body has gone through.
Side of the body.
I feel this emotion.
Top of the head.
This emotion I feel in my body.
Take a pause,
Deep breath in.
I did y'all Return to that photo and return to the emotion.
And first notice if that emotion is sitting in the same place in your body or if it's moved to a new location.
And then notice how intensely you're feeling the emotion and give it a number 1 to 10.
And let's start the next round.
Tapping on the side of the hand.
Even now.

And now I feel this emotion in my body.
I'm open to accepting this emotion.
Even now.
My body has changed.
And it makes me feel this emotion.
I feel this emotion in my body now.
I am open to accepting the emotion.
