Good morning.

As the day begins,

This is your chance to pause,

To breathe,

And to check in with yourself before everything else starts to move around you.

Take a moment to settle where you are.

Feet on the floor,

Hands resting,

Eyes open or gently closed.

Whatever feels right to you.

Let's take a deep breath in,

Hold for a moment,

And slowly exhale.

Let your shoulders drop,

Let your jaw relax,

Let your mind quiet just a little.

Today is a brand new day.

Whatever happened yesterday or even earlier this morning,

You are not stuck there.

Right now,

You have the power to begin again.

Some days are easy,

Some days are tough,

And some days are a mix of both.

Whatever kind of day you're having,

Just know there are adults in this building who care about you and who are here to help.

Every single one of us has strengths and every one of us has things we are still working on.

That's part of being human.

Today,

Let's each try to be kind,

Even if we're having a rough moment,

To take a deep breath when we're feeling overwhelmed,

To speak to ourselves like we'd speak to a good friend,

And to keep going even when something is hard.

If something isn't going right,

You have the power to pause,

Reset,

And choose your next step.

That's real strength.

So let's each set one small goal for today.

You don't have to say it out loud,

Just think about it in your head.

It could be staying calm when you feel annoyed,

Asking for help if you need it,

Or doing your best on one assignment.

Whatever it is,

Let that be your focus.

Now,

Let's take another deep breath in and let it go.

You don't have to do everything at once.

Just take it one moment,

One breath,

One step at a time.

You are strong,

You are capable,

And you are growing every single day.

Take one final breath in with me,

And as you exhale,
