Peace: a state of tranquility, free from anxiety, upsetting thoughts and feelings; a feeling that you are safe and that ‘all is well’. When we feel this way, the calming part of the nervous system (parasympathetic NS) is activated, we are relaxed, feel good, and the brain can think clearly. The more we activate it, the faster it will turn on in stressful situations, when we need it most in order to make helpful decisions. The above meditation helps you achieve a peaceful state. It includes some simple cues and instructions so you can clear your mind, relax your body, and marinate in peaceful bliss!
