Hi,
Thank you for joining me for this afternoon pick-me-up,
Really brief guided meditation session,
And I just invite you to find somewhere comfortable to sit,
And just allow your body to settle,
To calm,
Calm your thoughts as well,
Start this process of resetting,
Refocusing the mind and body,
And get ourselves ready for the afternoon ahead,
So make sure you are nice and comfortable,
And make sure your back is nice and straight,
Shoulders dropping away from your ears,
And your hands resting on your lap,
Feet might be touching the ground,
And I invite you to bring your attention and focus to the body,
Just see what you can feel within the body,
Maybe you feel that your shoulders and the muscles in the shoulders are a little bit tight,
You might have been working on a laptop during the day,
So just softening the shoulders,
Imagining your muscles soften,
So maybe just start from the top of your head,
And scan through the body,
Any sensations you might feel,
All the way down to the tip of your toes,
I'll just give you a few moments to do that,
And anywhere you see and feel maybe tightness,
Or tingling,
Or itchiness,
Or numbness,
Anything that you might notice,
Just pay a little attention on that part of the body,
And allow it to soften,
And then move down towards the tip of your toes,
Just make sure your attention,
All your attention is focused on the body,
The different parts of the body,
And not judging,
Just observing and allow these areas where you might feel tightness,
Allowing them to soften,
You might feel more relaxed within your body,
And calmer in your mind,
Now bring the attention to your breath,
And deepen your breath,
Breathe in together through the nose,
Hold for a moment,
And breathe out through the mouth,
Once again breathe in together,
Hold,
And breathe out,
Now you may open your eyes,
And hopefully your body feels a bit more relaxed,
The calmer mind will help you now to move forward with a little bit more energy for your afternoon,
