This gentle, spacious meditation offers a grounding pause amid the chaos of daily life. Through breath work, silence, and guided reflection, participants are invited to notice what they carry—grief, fear, weariness—and rest in the steady presence of God. A grounding visualization anchors the soul like roots in rich soil, reminding us that we are not alone in the storm. Centered in compassion and spiritual attentiveness, this practice creates space for healing, resilience, and divine connection. Music by Chris Collins

Welcome.

Take this time to pause and find a grounding.

Even as the world around us feels chaotic and heavy,

These are wild days full of events that call for our response.

Yet,

Our ability to care for others begins with caring for ourselves.

Let this be a time to release fear,

Hold space for grief,

And center yourself in God's abiding love.

Take a deep breath in and exhale.

As you breathe,

Notice how your body feels.

Where might you be holding tension?

What is asking for your attention?

Allow your shoulders to relax and let your jaw soften.

Feel the connection to the earth.

Now,

Breathe deeply again.

And as you exhale,

Imagine releasing some of the weight you have been carrying.

Let's begin with a few moments of silence.

As you sit,

Notice what emotions arise.

Is it fear,

Grief,

Exhaustion,

Anxiety,

Or maybe you're numb?

Be present with whatever comes up,

Without judgment.

Just notice.

What has been weighing most heavily on your heart this season?

How is your body responding to this heaviness?

Is it tightness in your chest?

A knot in your stomach?

Perhaps a sense of weariness in your limbs?

Where might God's presence be offering you comfort,

Even now?

Breathe in deeply.

And as you exhale,

Release the need to have all the answers.

Rest in God's promise to carry you through.

Imagine you're standing at the foot of a large,

Sturdy tree.

Its roots run deep into the ground,

Unshaken by the winds of life.

Now,

Picture yourself as that tree.

Feel your own roots growing deep into the soil.

The soil of God's grace and love,

Holding you steady.

Even as the storms rage around you,

You remain connected to the source of life.

You are not alone.

It's okay to feel fear and grief.

These are natural responses to trauma and chaotic days.

Yet God's love is a steady anchor,

And you are not called to bear this alone.

You can lean on the community around you,

And rest in the one who holds all things together.

Gracious God,

In the midst of uncertainty and chaos,

Ground us in your peace.

May we find strength to care for ourselves,

So we can serve others with compassion and clarity.

Help us to move forward,

Rooted in your love.

Amen.

Take the next 30 seconds in silence,

And focus on your breath,

And let your heart rest.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes,

And gently bring yourself back to this moment.

May you move forward today,

Feeling grounded and held,

No matter what comes.

Thank you for joining us.
