Guided audio meditations to help you reconnect with your true self, your sacred calling, and your courageous leadership. Ministry can be deeply meaningful—and also draining. Church leaders often serve from a place of urgency, expectation, or emotional exhaustion. You show up for others… but forget how to show up for yourself. A Sacred Pause is a guided meditation series created specifically for church leaders—pastors, deacons, bishops, lay leaders, youth ministers—who want to lead with greater authenticity, courage, and self-awareness. Rooted in the wisdom of the Enneagram and grounded in Christian spiritual practice, each 10–15 minute meditation is tailored to one of the nine Enneagram types, offering space to: Reconnect with your core motivation and beloved identity Break patterns of overfunctioning, avoidance, or perfectionism Receive spiritual nourishment, rather than needing to produce or perform Cultivate a grounded, Spirit-led presence in ministry and daily life

Enneagram type fives are curious,

Perceptive,

And protective of their inner resources.

They often withdraw to think,

Observe,

And conserve energy,

Fearing they don't have enough to meet life's demands.

Fives value autonomy,

Knowledge,

And clarity,

But may become detached from relationships and their own emotions.

At their best,

They offer original insight,

Presence,

And thoughtful stewardship of their gifts.

There are three instinctual subtypes of type five,

Self-preservation,

Social,

And one-to-one.

I encourage you to discover your subtype,

Which will help illuminate your patterns and possibilities for growth.

Welcome.

Let yourself arrive,

Not into a space of effort or expectation,

But into a space of sanctuary.

There is no need to bring answers here.

There is no need to manage energy or prove insight.

You are not required to explain yourself.

You are simply invited to be.

If it feels supportive,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze,

And let your body find a posture that is steady,

But not rigid,

And take a breath in and release it slowly.

Let yourself land in this moment,

Resourced and held.

Hear this invitation from Jesus.

Come to me,

All you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens,

And I will give you rest.

This is not an invitation to perform.

It is not a request for more of your intellect or insight.

It is simply a space where you do not have to hold it all alone.

Rest is not earned.

It is offered.

Receive it now.

As a type 5,

Your wisdom is a gift.

You are curious,

Insightful,

And perceptive.

You bring clarity in a chaotic world.

You see beneath the surface and often name what others cannot.

You are measured and intentional.

Your inner world is rich.

You often feel most at home there.

And you may also struggle to trust that your presence is enough.

You may pull away when life feels too demanding.

You may guard your energy like a precious resource.

There is deep intelligence in this.

But beloved,

You are not meant to journey alone.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you can engage.

God is not asking for your certainty.

God is simply asking for your presence.

You are not defined by your thinking.

You are held mind,

Body,

And heart by something greater.

Let these gentle questions settle into you.

Where have I been retreating out of fear that I am not ready,

Not enough,

Or not resourced?

What would it feel like to share a little more of myself today?

Where might I be invited to trust that I am not alone?

Let your breath anchor whatever has surfaced.

There is no need to resolve.

Just notice.

Let's gently move inward.

Start with your body.

Notice any parts of you that feel withdrawn,

Protected,

Or tense.

What might that part need to feel just 10% more safe or at ease?

Now your heart.

Are there emotions you have tucked away?

And now your head.

What thoughts or analysis are looping?

Can they be held rather than solved?

With breath,

Bring your body,

Heart,

And head into gentle alignment.

You are allowed to take up space fully.

Breathe in courage.

Breathe out constriction.

You are not a machine for insight.

You are not only what you know.

You are not alone.

Beloved,

May you know.

You can bring your wisdom into relationship.

You can offer your presence without depletion.

You can remain whole even as you open.

As you move through your day,

May you pause not only to recharge,

But to reconnect.

You are held.

You are safe.

You are enough.

Amen.
