Guided audio meditations to help you reconnect with your true self, your sacred calling, and your courageous leadership. Ministry can be deeply meaningful—and also draining. Church leaders often serve from a place of urgency, expectation, or emotional exhaustion. You show up for others… but forget how to show up for yourself. A Sacred Pause is a guided meditation series created specifically for church leaders—pastors, deacons, bishops, lay leaders, youth ministers—who want to lead with greater authenticity, courage, and self-awareness. Rooted in the wisdom of the Enneagram and grounded in Christian spiritual practice, each 10–15 minute meditation is tailored to one of the nine Enneagram types, offering space to: Reconnect with your core motivation and beloved identity Break patterns of overfunctioning, avoidance, or perfectionism Receive spiritual nourishment, rather than needing to produce or perform Cultivate a grounded, Spirit-led presence in ministry and daily life

Enneagram 4s are emotionally attuned,

Creative,

And deeply reflective.

They are drawn to meaning,

Beauty,

And authenticity,

Often with a heightened awareness of what feels missing or lost.

Enneagram 4s can become preoccupied with their inner world and longings,

And may withdraw when overwhelmed.

At their best,

They bring depth,

Emotional insight,

And transformational creativity into the world.

Every type 4 is shaped by one of the three instincts,

Self-preservation,

Social,

Or one-to-one.

I invite you to explore your instinctual subtype to better understand your experience as a 4.

4.

Let this moment begin with breath,

A breath that does not need to be deep or perfect,

Just honest.

Inhale gently,

Exhale slowly.

And let yourself settle,

Not by force,

But by trust.

You are welcome here,

Exactly as you are.

There is no need to perform depth or insight.

You do not have to explain your emotion.

You do not have to earn beauty.

You are already here,

And that is enough.

Hear this sacred promise from the Psalms.

You created my inmost being.

You knit me together in my mother's womb.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

There is nothing missing in you.

No flaw that renders you unworthy.

No absence that God has looked over.

You are not only seen by God.

You are crafted with intention and beauty,

Fearfully and wonderfully.

Let yourself rest in that knowing.

As a type 4,

You feel things deeply.

You see what others often miss,

The ache,

The beauty,

The nuance.

You hold space for complexity,

For longing,

For mystery.

You are authentic.

You are attuned.

You are original.

And sometimes you may feel set apart,

Like there is something missing in you that others seem to have.

Like you are always reaching toward a sense of wholeness,

Just out of reach.

You may compare yourself to others and come up short.

You may romanticize the past,

Or imagine an ideal future.

And forget that this present moment is already sacred.

But here is your truth.

You are not lacking.

You are not broken.

You are not too much,

Or not enough.

You are here,

And that is holy.

Let's enter a time of inner listening.

These questions are not for solving,

But for opening.

Where have I been believing I am missing something essential?

What beauty within me have I been reluctant to claim?

How might I practice belonging in this moment,

In this body,

In this life?

Let your breath hold what is tender.

You do not need to reach for anything more.

Let's return to your body.

Notice your breath,

Where it moves most freely.

Where is there constriction?

Where is there openness?

What would it feel like to soften,

Just a little more?

Now to your heart.

What emotions are rising?

Can they be welcomed without needing to be understood?

And now your mind.

What narratives are present?

Are you telling yourself that you are different in a way that separates you,

Or in a way that honors your uniqueness?

Let your breath gather all of this.

Nothing is missing.

It all belongs.

One last breath.

Inhale wholeness.

And exhale comparison.

Beloved,

May you know you are not defined by your ache.

You are not missing anything.

You are already whole.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Not someday.

Not when you become more you.

But now.

As you journey through this day,

May you return to the sacred pause.

A moment to remember.

You do not need to become someone else to belong.

You belong here,

Now,

In the truth of who you are.

Amen.
