Enneagram type threes are driven,
Adaptable,
And focused on achievement.
They are motivated by a desire to be seen as successful and valuable.
Threes often organize their lives around goals,
Productivity,
And how they are perceived by others.
While they can be inspiring and efficient,
They may struggle to slow down or to connect to their deeper feelings.
At their best,
Threes are authentic,
Humble,
And motivating leaders.
Type three includes three instinctual subtypes,
Self-preservation,
Social,
And one-to-one,
Each shaping the core type differently.
I invite you into deeper learning about your specific instinct that can support your growth.
Begin by arriving not as a leader,
Not as an achiever,
Not as one who must perform or inspire,
But simply as one who is beloved.
Let your body settle into a posture of ease.
Your eyes may gently close or soften.
Let your shoulders release and lower.
Let your jaw release.
Let your belly expand with your breath.
Take a deep breath in and a long,
Gentle breath out.
Again,
Inhale and exhale.
Let your breath remind you.
You do not need to do anything right now.
You are not being evaluated.
You are being held.
Hear these words from the Psalms.
Be still and know that I am God.
Let them come like a gentle wave across your striving.
You are not asked to be impressive here.
You are not required to produce or manage or inspire in this moment.
Just be still.
Just be.
God is already present.
You are already held.
Let the stillness speak louder than success.
Let the quiet remind you.
You are known and loved as you are.
As a type 3,
Your leadership is magnetic.
You are driven,
Visionary,
Capable.
You know how to move people towards what is possible.
You believe in excellence and you often embody it.
You bring energy,
Clarity,
And motivation to your community.
And there is a part of you that fears it may all fall apart if you stop.
That if you slow down,
You may lose your value.
You may feel invisible.
You may fear being seen as less than successful.
But beloved,
Your worth is not in your performance.
Your truest self is not a role or a title or an outcome.
Your essence is radiant.
Your being is enough.
You do not need to be impressive to be important.
Let that truth settle into your bones.
Here are a few gentle questions to reflect on.
After each one,
There will be space for silence.
Where have I been measuring my worth by what I accomplish?
What would it feel like to be loved even if I slowed down?
What part of me needs rest,
Not reward?
Let these questions work within you.
You do not need to have answers.
You are allowed to just be.
Let's come home to the body.
In your body,
Where do you feel pressure or tightness?
Where might there be an inner push to keep going?
See if that place can soften,
Even just a little.
Turn now to your heart.
What emotions are here beneath the drive?
What needs naming,
Acknowledging,
Blessing?
And your mind?
What stories are playing in the background?
Are they true?
Are they kind?
Let your breath move through all three centers,
Body,
Heart,
Mind.
And let your true self return.
Let's take a final breath together.
Inhale presence and exhale performance.
You are not what you produce.
You are not only what you lead.
You are not only what others admire.
You are beloved.
Even when you are quiet.
Even when you are unsure.
Even when you do not win.
As you move through your day,
May you pause before the push.
May you rest in your worth.
May you remember that your value is not in your output,
But in your being.
God already delights in who you are.
Amen.
