Take a mindful pause and join me in a meditation moment with the poem “A Seed for the Now and the Future.” Through spoken word, this piece invites you to listen deeply, reflect, and plant intentions for both the present and what lies ahead. As a witness of 2025, I offer these words as a gentle reminder: you are more than you realize, and there is always more unfolding. Allow the meditation to guide you into stillness, where each word becomes a seed-nourishing hope, presence, and possibility. Settle into your breath, open your heart, and remember: you are not alone on this journey. There is always more to discover, within and beyond. Let this be your invitation to reconnect, listen, and remember.

Thank you for joining me here on Insight Timer.

I'm Deb Lambert.

I wanted to share with you some thoughts today on a poem I was working on,

But I wanted to do an introduction a little bit to get you prepared to use this as perhaps a reflective time,

An intentional moment to just be present right here,

Right now.

So I'd like you to close your eyes,

Get comfortable,

And just breathe.

What you're about to listen to is more than a poem.

It's a reflection,

A message,

A small flame I've carried from my heart to yours.

This piece was born from witnessing the world as it is in 2025,

A time of uncertainty,

Of noise,

Of deep forgetting,

But also a time of remembering,

Of listening inward,

And living with intention.

I created this,

Both human truth and the wisdom waiting in the silence between words.

This is for anyone who ever felt like a witness in their own time,

For those who see through the noise,

For those who know there is more.

Take another deep breath and out.

Settle in and receive this as a gift,

A seed for the now and for the future.

I don't have all the answers,

But I've seen enough to know we are more than skin and bone.

We are memory,

Feeling,

Energy,

Something that lives beyond language but speaks just the same.

I do not worship one God,

But I don't turn away from the mystery either.

I don't believe that we are just limited to our thoughts.

I believe there is more,

More than we've been taught,

More than history books and headlines can hold.

I live with my heart open,

Not always easily,

Not always perfectly,

But I try.

I stay awake in a world that asks us to sleep.

I listen when it would be easier to turn away.

I witness.

I remember.

I carry the stories that others would rather bury because I believe forgetting is its own kind of loss.

So here's my vow.

I will speak even when it trembles.

I will remember even when it hurts.

I will live as though the future is listening because maybe it is.

And if my words outlive me,

Let them carry this light.

You are more.

There is more.

Please do not forget.

And take a big deep breath in and slowly let it out.

And remember,

You are more than your thoughts,

Than your beliefs,

Than your understandings.

You are more than what you've been taught,

For there is so much more to learn.

You are more.

There is more.

Please do not forget.

Thank you.
