The Metta meditation, rooted in Buddhist tradition, is a powerful practice that fosters compassion, love, and kindness—both for ourselves and others. In this meditation, I guide you through two distinct versions of Metta, and I encourage you to explore and create your own personalized practice. By embracing this ancient wisdom, you can deepen your connection to yourself and the world around you, cultivating a sense of understanding that radiates outward.

Metta meditation is a Buddhist practice to help us become more compassionate and have more kindness and more love for ourselves and for others.

It is believed that there are many benefits to the metta.

And so you might find that there are different phrases to say for the metta as you can come up with your own.

I have worked with two different ones and I will give you the two.

But I also want to encourage you to create your own metta for yourself and for others.

Metta is believed to start with a breath.

Breathing in,

Long and slow out.

Closing your eyes and getting yourself into a comfortable position.

And you may say from your heart space,

Even putting your hands on your heart,

So you're really taking the time to be intentionally aware from your heart to yourself.

May I be happy.

May I be well.

May I be free of all forms of suffering.

May I live my life with ease and grace.

And I want you to think of someone that you love and picture them in your mind's eye,

In your mind,

In your thoughts.

See them,

Imagine them,

Vision them.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be free of all forms of suffering.

And may you live your life with ease and grace.

And now I'd like you to think about someone that you may perhaps be having a difficult time with.

And I want you to envision them,

To visualize them.

And from your heart space to theirs,

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be free of all forms of suffering.

May you live your life with ease and grace.

And I want you to think about how does that make you feel by doing that to yourself and to others.

There's no right or wrong answer.

It's just observing.

Don't judge.

How does it make you feel?

I have come up with my own personal one that I do every single day.

And I'll give it to you.

I start with myself as you always start with self.

It's about feeding the soul first,

Feeding yourself first,

Whatever words you prefer to call it.

May I be unconditional love.

May I be pure of thoughts,

Words,

And actions.

May I be free of suffering.

May I be in flow with universal oneness.

And I always think about my family and I envision them.

And I say,

May you be unconditional love.

May you be pure of thought,

Word,

And action.

May you be free of suffering.

May you be in flow with universal oneness.

And for me,

I think about what I say the collective and everyone in their consciousness and out there in the world.

If you believe that and understand that from quantum physics to the metaphysics of the oneness.

And I say,

May you the collective be unconditional love.

May you the collective be pure of thoughts,

Words,

And actions.

May you the collective be free of suffering.

May you the collective be in flow with universal oneness.

And take a deep breath in and a long,

Slow breath out.

Oh.

And I love for you to take the time to write your own meta,

Your own meditation of loving kindness,

Creating more compassion,

Kindness,

And love for yourself and for others.

Thank you.
