This practice uses the image of a tree to support a sense of steadiness, flexibility, and connection. By grounding attention in the body and breath, we explore what it feels like to be rooted like a tree—stable and supported—while also remaining open and responsive to changing conditions. Just as trees bend with the wind and move through different seasons, we learn to relate to thoughts, emotions, and sensations with greater balance and ease. The practice also invites a sense of interconnection, recognising that, like trees in a forest, we are supported and connected to others.
