One day I noticed I was telling myself frequently that I was alone.
And then I started to think about that a little bit more deeply.
So picture this.
What if we were hanging out with someone and they said out loud,
I am alone?
We would probably be a bit confused and a little bit offended because they're not alone.
We are with them.
So it's the same with ourselves.
When we say or tell ourselves that we are alone,
We are ignoring the parts of us that are here,
That are present,
That are watching us move through this world.
It's almost like we stop counting ourselves as a person,
As if only people outside of us qualify as human beings.
And that's not true.
We exist too.
So I decided I'm going to stop saying that I am alone,
Because the truth is I'm not.
I'm here.
I count.
So I guess the point of this message is that we are never truly alone,
Because we always have ourselves.
