Begin by finding a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes and gently breathe in and out,
Allowing your abdomen to expand fully and allowing the exhales to let go of any tension you may hold in your body.
Just settle in.
Now bring your awareness to your feet.
Notice any sensations you may be feeling,
Tingling,
Warmth,
Or discomfort.
And without judgment,
Simply observe how your feet feel in this moment.
And as you continue to breathe,
Imagine a warm,
Soothing light surrounding your feet.
Visualize this light as a healing energy that brings comfort and relaxation to every part of your foot.
And with each inhale,
Imagine this healing light entering your right foot,
Penetrating gently into every muscle,
Tendon,
And bone.
Feel it easing any tension or pain with each exhale,
And let it release any tightness or discomfort.
Now with each inhale,
Imagine this healing light has gone to your left foot.
Allow it to gently guide into every muscle,
Tendon,
And bone,
And feel it easing the tension or pain with each exhale,
Releasing tightness or discomfort.
Focus on your breath,
And as you're allowing this healing light to heal your feet,
Breathe in and say to yourself silently,
I am breathing in calmness and healing,
And as you breathe out,
I am releasing tension and pain.
Continue this breathing and positive affirmation for a few moments,
Either in your mind's eye,
Or say it softly to yourself.
When you breathe in,
I am breathing in calmness and healing,
And when you breathe out,
I am releasing tension and pain.
Feel a sense of gratitude for your body and its ability to heal,
And with each breath,
Imagine the light nurturing your feet and bringing relief to your feet.
Notice how they feel.
Do they feel stiff and achy or tingly?
Can you imagine the light softening them,
Just easing the stiffness for just a little bit?
Allow yourself to feel whatever comes up.
Can you offer compassion?
Can you forgive yourself and allow the pain or the feelings to be there without judgment or story?
Just notice,
And just allow.
If you feel your mind wants to judge why you have this pain or why you can't get rid of this pain,
Just acknowledge it.
Acknowledge that you hear it,
But you're ready to release it.
It served its purpose,
And now it's okay to let it go.
So just allow this healing light to swirl around your feet,
And try to relax and keep your mind's eye into every single tendon and muscle.
Just allow it to melt.
Allow your feet to feel weightless,
And just notice.
Just allow your feet to float,
And if your mind wants to create a story or a judgment on how they should be feeling or they are feeling,
Just notice a thought.
Let it go.
Let it float away.
Just continue to breathe in and out the healing light around your feet.
And then take one more deep breath in and out,
And then slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
You may wish to wiggle your toes,
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes,
And then take a moment and just notice.
Do your feet feel the same as when you started?
Do they feel a little bit different?
And if they do,
Then allow yourself to carry this sense of relaxation and comfort with you as you continue your day,
And remind yourself that you can always take a few moments and just send healing energy to your feet,
And allow them to relax and soften,
And see if that helps relax and comfort your feet as you go through your day.
