Relax to Sleep,
A gentle chakra meditation for your radiant soul.
I invite you to lay down in this meditation,
As it works great to do in bed as you prepare for sleep.
Perhaps you're tuning into this meditation for a nap,
Or even for rest and recovery as needed.
I invite you to bring in supportive and comfortable items,
Such as pillows,
Blankets,
And an eye mask.
Take a few moments to settle into your space and get as comfortable as possible.
As you settle in,
Begin to notice your body with gentle curiosity.
The support beneath you,
Holding your body in this space,
Allowing you to settle and be fully supported without effort.
A gentle reminder that you don't need to be anywhere but here,
In this moment,
Just as you are,
Just as yourself.
Begin to visualize a golden glowing light surrounding your toes.
One by one,
Your toes begin to soften in this light,
As it slowly makes its way up to the top and the bottom of your feet,
Releasing any tension you might be experiencing here.
You begin to notice that your feet are feeling less heavy and dense,
And they're gently softening into the support beneath you even more.
This light continues upwards,
Making its way to your lower and upper legs.
As this light envelops these areas,
You begin to notice more of a release of tension in your lower body,
As it gently softens even more into the support beneath you here.
Take a moment to observe your breathing,
Along with how your lower body is feeling now,
From when we first started.
Simply observe here without judgment.
Begin to bring your awareness to the base of your spine now,
Imagining a deep red glowing light like a warm amber.
Let this light gently spread through your hips and upper legs,
Creating a sense of heaviness and calm.
As this warm red glowing light envelops these areas,
You begin to notice more of a release of tension in these areas,
As they gently soften even more into the support beneath you.
Shift your awareness into your lower abdomen now,
Picturing a soft orange light like the warmth of a sunset.
Imagine this light moving slowly like warm water in this area,
Loosening any tightness you may be experiencing while softening the belly.
Here you find this light warm and comforting,
Flowing through this area with ease.
Now notice your upper abdomen,
Seeing a gentle golden light glowing there.
Its warmth spreads outwards,
Relaxing the stomach,
Ribs,
And lower back,
Helping to restore balance.
Bring your awareness to the center of your chest now.
It's there you notice a soft green glowing light.
With each breath,
This light expands,
Melting tension from the shoulders and arms.
The warmth here feels open and spacious.
Now notice your throat.
A pale blue light appears like a calm sky at dusk.
Allow this blue light to smooth your jaw,
Soften your tongue,
And release your neck,
Swallowing with more ease.
Bring awareness to the space between your eyebrows now,
Envisioning a soft indigo glowing light.
Allow this light to settle into this space,
Settling your mind,
Allowing any thoughts to drift more slowly.
At the top of your head,
A soft white light begins to glow,
Radiating around this area.
Allow this light to feel spacious and light,
As if a warm calm is pouring downward through your body.
Imagine all colors softly aligned,
Warm steady light from root to crown.
A gentle reminder that you don't need to be anywhere but here,
In this moment,
Just as you are,
Just as yourself.
Allow that to be enough.
Allow your body to rest.
Allow your light to remain steady and quiet within you.
There is nothing to do now,
Just soften and drift.
