Good morning and welcome.
My name is Courtney and this is a morning grounding meditation with affirmations.
I invite you to take a moment to arrive in this space.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Either on a cushion,
A chair,
Maybe lying down,
And allow your hands to rest gently on your knees,
On your belly,
Or by your side.
And you can gently close your eyes if it feels safe for you,
Or maybe you'd like to soften your gaze.
And just begin to notice your breath.
There's no need to change anything.
Simply observe.
Observe the gentle rise and fall,
The natural rhythm of life moving through you.
Now you can bring your attention to the points of contact with the earth beneath you.
Feel the weight of your body being held,
Supported by a chair,
A couch,
The floor,
Your bed.
And with each exhale,
Allow yourself to drop a little deeper into this support.
And just bring your awareness gently through your body like a scan from the crown of your head down to your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Further down to your chest,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet.
And just try to let go of any tension,
Invite a softness,
Invite presence,
Awareness,
Whatever that means for you.
And I'd like to invite you to deepen your breath now slightly.
Inhaling through the nose,
Filling your belly.
Exhaling slowly through the mouth,
Releasing everything you don't need anymore in this moment.
And let's do that again.
Inhaling deeply through the nose.
Exhaling completely through the mouth.
And you can allow the breath to return to its natural rhythm.
And I'd like to invite you to imagine with every inhale that you're drawing energy from the earth.
And with every exhale,
You release what no longer serves you.
What you no longer need.
On the inhale,
Drawing energy from the earth from the space around you.
And with every exhale releasing what no longer serves a purpose,
Your higher purpose.
And as you rest in this space,
I'd like to introduce some affirmations and you can just let these sink in.
You can repeat each one softly in your mind,
Letting them flow with the rhythm of your breath.
I am grounded and supported.
I trust in the stability beneath me.
My breath is my anchor.
I am present in this moment.
I carry peace within me.
No matter what the day brings,
I remain rooted in calm and in presence.
I am safe.
I am centered.
I am whole.
And now you can slowly return your awareness,
Your attention to the space around you.
Maybe you notice some sounds in the room or outside.
Feel the air on your skin,
Maybe see some light behind your eyelids.
Maybe you'd like to gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing some movement into the body.
Maybe you're rolling the shoulders,
Stretching your arms,
Just like you're waking up in the morning.
Just one last time,
Let's take one more deep breath in and sigh it out.
Before you open your eyes,
I'd like to invite you to take a moment to set a gentle intention for your day.
Maybe you can use the affirmations for some inspiration.
It might be a word,
It might be a feeling or an action.
Take a minute for yourself to set an intention for your day and hold it in your heart.
When you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes,
Maybe blink a few times and welcome the day.
Now that you're grounded and present and at peace,
I hope you have a wonderful day.
Thank you.
