Hello,
And welcome.
My name is Courtney and today we have a short grounding meditation to help you reconnect with yourself and return to the present moment,
Very gently with ease.
This practice can be done in the morning,
Maybe on a lunch break when you have a few minutes for yourself,
Or in the evening.
It invites you to soften,
Breathe,
And just settle into yourself.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable seat.
Allow your spine to grow tall,
Your shoulders to relax.
If it feels safe for you,
Feel free to gently close the eyes,
Or maybe it'll feel better for you to soften your gaze towards the floor.
When you're ready,
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Slowly exhale through the mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Feel yourself begin to land into your body.
Allow your breath.
Now to settle into its own natural rhythm.
And with each breath,
Feel the connection between your body and the ground beneath you.
There's nothing you need to do right now,
There's nowhere you need to be.
I invite you just to notice how your body feels without judgment.
Do a small body scan from the crown of your head down into the shoulders,
Into the torso,
The hands,
The fingertips,
The hips,
The legs,
All the way down to your toes.
Just observe.
Just breathe.
Just be present.
With each exhale,
Let go of any tension that you don't need to carry.
Let it melt down into the earth beneath you.
If you'd like to bring one hand to your heart,
And the other to your belly.
Just feel the gentle rise and fall beneath your palms.
Remind yourself that this body is your home.
Maybe you'd like to take a moment of gratitude to thank your body for all that it does for you.
This moment is enough.
You are enough.
Take a few more deep breaths.
Slow,
Steady,
And soft.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back into the space around you.
Maybe you'd like to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Maybe.
Bring the head towards the left,
Towards the right.
Gently turning your head.
Blink your eyes gently open.
Take a final breath in.
And sigh it out.
Thank yourself for taking this time to connect,
To ground,
To return.
Namaste.
