Little one,
I would like you to get yourself relaxed in your bed as comfortable as possible.
I want you to take a deep breath in and let it all out.
And if you want,
You can also gently close your eyes.
Now,
I want you to take another deep breath in and then let it all out again.
I invite you to wiggle your little feet and your toes.
And you can say either quietly to yourself or loudly if you want.
Thank you feet for giving me balance today.
Thank you feet for allowing me to stand up and to walk and to run.
Now,
I want you to also lift your legs for a short moment and then gently drop them down again onto your bed or mattress.
Legs help you do your favorite activities inside and outside.
Thank you legs for allowing me to climb,
To crawl,
To run,
To jump and to kick a football.
I'm really,
Really grateful to have you legs.
Thank you so much.
Now,
Let's focus on your tummy.
The tummy is a wonderful thing.
It's there to help you digest your food and the tummy can also sense feelings.
Thank you tummy for giving my body all the nutrients I need to stay healthy and for giving me good feelings and for digesting my food every day and making me feel less hungry.
Thank you tummy.
Thank you.
Now,
Make some fists and hold them for a few seconds and release.
You can also lift your arms up a little if you want and then drop them down gently onto your bed and next to your body and feel the weight of it.
Your arms and your hands allow you to create things,
To lift things up,
To build paper planes,
To play with your toys and to climb of course as well.
Thank you arms for helping me every single day,
For allowing me to play with my toys and to do the things I want.
Thank you arms.
I love you.
Moving on to your heart.
Can you feel it beat in your chest?
Your heart pumps blood through your whole body with every single beat.
It allows you to live.
It also moves all the good stuff from the food you eat to nourish your body.
It's an amazing,
Amazing machine.
Thank you heart for doing such an excellent job always.
Now,
Let's move on to your face.
You can make a little funny face by closing your eyes and making it really like squashing your face together and then you can open your eyes and stretch your face and open your mouth and put your tongue out and then return back to normal.
You feel your nose,
Your nose is for smelling,
Helping you breathe.
Your eyes are for seeing,
Helping you see all the beautiful things our world has to offer.
And your ears are for hearing,
Helping you listening to your favorite songs on the radio.
And your mouth is for eating,
For eating delicious food and yummy chocolate and talking to your parents and your friends.
And then your brain is there for thinking,
For learning and for creating new things.
Thank you,
Thank you all of you for being there,
For helping me.
Thank you.
Isn't the body like a wonderful piece of machinery?
I invite you to just feel grateful for the body you have and the amazing things the body can allow you to do.
Now,
Take another deep breath in and a big exhale.
Now,
Moving away from your body,
Think about your day today.
From waking up to having breakfast to walking outside to learning new things and to playing with your friends or your pet.
Think about all the things you did today,
All the smiles you received,
The roof you have over your head and nice things your parents said to you today.
And I would like you to pick your own two things that you are grateful for today.
Pick two good things.
Now,
Really imagine these two things close to you.
Imagine the things surrounding you and being with you,
Surrounding your entire body.
And I want you to say the words thank you,
Thank you.
You can say these words out loud or quietly within your mind.
One more time.
Thank you,
Thank you.
I feel grateful.
And then relax and notice how this makes you feel.
Where in your body do you feel this gratitude?
It feels good,
Doesn't it?
Well,
Let's take one final deep breath in and let it all out.
You've done a great job,
A fantastic job today.
I want you to completely relax now.
And if you haven't already,
Close your eyes and just sit down on your back or lie down on your bed and basically relax.
Tomorrow is a brand new day that you will experience and tomorrow is a great opportunity for you to explore other ways to be grateful for.
Just remember,
You are loved,
You are loved.
And now,
My little one,
It's time to drift off into dreamland.
Wishing you wonderful,
Wonderful dreams.
And I appreciate you sharing your time with me today.
Good night,
Lovely one.
Good night.
Good night.
Sleep well.
And remember,
You are loved.
