Hello beautiful being.
Welcome.
I'm Melanie Underwood.
I am going to be discussing today curiosity around cooking and food.
This is part of my daily cooking affirmation series to help you become a more confident,
Curious,
Connected person.
And this can often start in our kitchen.
Cooking is where I practice being human.
It's a space that can be messy,
Creative,
Curious,
And it's always a space where we learn.
Cooking isn't just about making food,
It's really about how we show up,
How we feel,
And how we connect.
Curiosity is such an important thing to practice because it does bring a natural inquisitiveness.
And when we're doing it in the kitchen around food,
We start to ask why are things happening?
How does this work?
The what-ifs.
What if this doesn't work?
Where do we go from here?
And when we enter the kitchen with curiosity instead of pressure,
Something opens up.
We stop worrying about getting it right and we do start asking what if.
That spirit of curiosity helps us grow,
Not just in the kitchen,
But everywhere.
So I invite you to repeat these affirmations after me and I also invite you to come back tomorrow and for the next seven days I'm going to have different set of affirmations that can be used around cooking,
Food,
And really anywhere in your life because they are to help you build your curiosity.
I am curious about what's possible.
I release the need to know and I welcome discovery.
I let my senses guide me.
Every ingredient holds a story and I'm here to listen.
I am open to new textures,
Flavors,
And ideas.
Curiosity is my compass.
It leads me to creativity.
I explore.
I explore with wonder and more wonder.
There is no one right way.
I give myself permission to try.
I invite play into my process.
I trust the joy of not knowing what comes next.
As you move through your day,
Let curiosity be your companion in the kitchen and in life.
Let it soften our expectations,
Spark our imagination,
And just help us stay open to joy in unexpected places.
