A short, introductory talk on past life work. Discovering the past lives that were at the root of my limiting beliefs has been profoundly helpful for me on my healing journey. This talk introduces the concept of past life work, offers tips on how you could find clues about the story of your soul and invites you to ask some simple questions to discover what could be the lessons your soul is here in this lifetime, to learn.

Hello this is Charlotte.

I've spoken in a previous talk about our limiting beliefs and the roots of our emotional suffering and in this talk I wanted to go a little bit deeper and to explore another aspect of our belief systems which is our past lives.

Now past life work has been extremely helpful for me.

In past life work we learn about the story of the soul and we uncover the memories that our soul holds from previous incarnations,

Previous lifetimes where particular beliefs were formed.

Because when our soul comes into this lifetime it brings with it these memories on a subtle level.

So we might find clues about our soul story through dreams,

Phobias,

Specific places we're drawn to or that we're afraid of.

When you really tune in and become more aware of this work you realise that there are so many ways to discover the history of your soul,

To discover who you really are on a deep level.

We can then use this knowledge to understand exactly why our soul chose the specific circumstances of our present lifetime with the goal of helping us transcend and overcome the limiting beliefs.

Now as I said I've personally found exploring past lives to be so profound and so helpful in my life because it helped me to go from a place of powerlessness and victimhood to a place of empowerment.

It helped me realise that the things that I perceived as struggles in my life were actually lessons and portals to growth,

Purposefully chosen by my soul to help me expand.

I understand that for some the concept might be a little hard to swallow,

To think that any heartache,

Pain and tragedy that we might have faced in our lives has been chosen on some level might feel hard to hear and this is really understandable.

Some might say why would I have ever chosen to have a particular experience that was really really difficult,

Really challenging?

And I will say that for me being able to take what I've perceived as challenges in my life and reframe them into lessons,

Portals for growth,

Has been a game changer.

I'm now sitting in the driver's seat making conscious choices and crafting a life beyond fear and beyond limitation.

In past life work we learn that particular challenges or patterns that seem to repeat in our lives are in a sense lessons to be learned,

Opportunities for growth,

For change,

For expansion.

So I invite you today to think about areas of your life that feel challenging for you,

Maybe things that seem to come up again and again,

Where you might ask yourself why am I so unlucky?

Why has this happened so many times?

And in those areas ask yourself what lesson might I be learning here?

What would be the thing that I could change here that would change the pattern?

And to see what comes up.
