This poem, written early one morning when the light of the moon came through my window, waking me from slumber—illuminating itself in all its misty perfection as I gazed at it from my bed, before falling back to sleep.

Dear friends,

The poem I want to share with you today is called One Day.

I woke to the moon,

Its simple white beauty,

Its luminescent grace,

Languidly pass by my window.

A chorus of wild geese wake the day,

Splitting the sky like Moses at the great sea.

And one cloud,

In misty perfection,

Hung like a canopy through the trees.

And this,

Just a morning like any other,

Missed in living too fast,

Now lost on the late risers wearing a hue of rainbow,

Regally lighting its path.

This undefinable beauty,

This majestic second,

Slowly revealing the morning before me,

Given on this one beautiful day.
