This is a beautiful meditation for the Mothers out there. Find a comfortable space to sit or lie down and come back into your own energy for the next little while. You spend so much time thinking of others; it is time to tune into yourself.

When you become a mother,

You birth a new version of yourself.

The self changes,

Our identity shifts,

Our values change,

And through this we can feel quite lost,

But with the right tools and awarenesses,

The right support and networks,

We can have this rite of passage,

Be exactly what it is meant to be,

An evolution of self,

Meeting a deeper version of who you are,

And moving further into your purpose self.

I invite you today to find a space where you can lay or sit down for the next little while as we journey through a meditation for the mother,

Beginning by taking some nice deep breaths in through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

In through the nose,

Pouring the breath,

Letting something go out the mouth,

One final deep,

Deep breath through the nose,

And as you exhale out the mouth,

Allowing your body to soften and land to wherever you have chosen to receive this meditation,

And we are beginning into our own self as a child,

Bringing to mind an image,

Any age,

Of yourself that you are going to connect with in this moment.

Whatever version comes up for you landing on one,

This may be a baby,

You may be in primary school,

Whoever you are meeting with today,

This is the version of you that wants to come forth.

The important thing to note as a mother is that a child cannot parent a child,

But so often we are triggered back to younger versions of ourselves through parenting,

Through our children.

I want you to bring this version of you in for a hug today,

She is calling out for some love from you,

Perhaps there is something that she needed at the time,

Acknowledgement,

Support,

A big hug,

Just trusting whatever version has come to you today,

Not needing to delve any deeper into why.

I want you to internally repeat to her,

I love you,

Thank you,

You are safe,

I am your mother now,

Allowing her to soften into your body,

And then absorbing her energy into your self as you are today,

And we are going to journey through some breath.

We are working with the subconscious mind,

So whenever the conscious mind comes in,

Just calling yourself back to the breath,

I invite you to inhale with me for 4,

3,

2,

1,

Exhaling for 5,

4,

3,

2,

1,

Inhaling for 4,

3,

2,

1,

Exhaling 5,

4,

3,

2,

1,

Continuing with the inhale for 4,

And the exhale for 5,

In your own count and your own time,

For another 2 rounds.

Once you have completed your rounds of the counted breath,

Calling all of your energy and awareness into your womb space,

Energetically below the belly button,

And sensing into a light turning on in this space,

This light is golden,

It's warm,

And shining a light today on this space,

To invite us to release any shadow aspects of motherhood that we are potentially ignoring,

Avoiding,

Or unsure of how to move through.

With this loving attention and awareness,

And this golden light,

I invite you to take some quicker breaths in and out the nose,

In,

Out,

In,

Out,

Breathing from this space a little quicker than feels natural,

And no pause at the top or the bottom,

Just awakening this cosmic energy in the womb space,

You may sense into emotion or sensation arising already,

Or there may be a little bit of numbness here,

Staying with that breath in the nose,

At the nose,

For another 5,

In,

Out,

And if you are not pregnant,

I invite you on the 5th inhale to hold at the top,

In the breath suspension,

Feeling this space below the belly button,

This womb space,

Filled with pranic life force,

And when you are ready,

Exhaling and staying really intimately present and aware with any feeling or sensation that arises for you,

Reminding yourself that we are journeying with the energetic body,

And the subconscious mind,

Any conscious thoughts coming back to loving awareness,

And the subtlety of your natural breath,

And asking yourself,

Repeating internally,

What am I craving?

And again,

Bypassing the conscious mind,

If you feel that you move into ego,

Or conscious responses,

Just coming back to your breath,

And repeating,

What am I craving?

The answer will be really quiet,

Really subtle,

It will come in the form of a feeling,

And this feeling may not have words attached to it,

We are asking the energetic awareness of self,

What you are needing,

What you are craving,

And if you feel yourself attaching words and meaning to what comes up,

Coming back to your breath,

And just repeating,

What am I craving?

What do I desire?

And even just the power of the energy of us asking and inquiring with our energetic body,

Shifts our frequency,

And this is the intention here,

Staying with that curiosity,

What am I craving?

For another few breaths,

Trusting the process,

In a moment we are going to journey back to our conscious self,

And I invite you to pick up your journal,

And let whatever came up in feeling and sensation,

To move through your arm onto the paper through the pen,

And see what you gather,

This intimate inquiry,

Changes our energetic vibration,

And changes the self.

And letting go of the question,

What am I craving?

And starting to take some deeper inhales and exhales,

In through the nose and out through the mouth,

And just feeling the gratitude for having gifted yourself,

Beyond being a mother,

But the energy of mother and womb,

Allowing yourself to be held by that mother energy and the womb energy,

And bringing a little bit of movement to your fingers and your toes,

Whenever you feel ready,

Without too much movement,

Picking up your journal,

And seeing what lands onto the page.

And if nothing comes,

That is also okay,

Trusting that your answers and your vibrational shifts will still land for you over the coming hours,

Day,

And week.

You may come back to this meditation as much as you need,

For each time you do,

You create a more embodied frequency shift within you.
