Welcome to part three of this meditation series designed to help you build confidence and discover your authentic voice.
I invite you to join me in this visualisation meditation.
Take a few moments to get yourself into a comfortable position.
Close your eyes and gently take a deep breath in.
Feel your stomach rise and your ribs expand.
And now gently release that breath.
Breathing out any tension.
And continue breathing in a way that is natural.
And comfortable for you.
Using your mind's eye,
See yourself standing in a meadow.
The meadow is full of beautiful flowers.
You see flowers of all colours,
Shapes and sizes.
Breathe in the beautiful sweet scent that is all around you.
Feel the thick carpet of soft grass under your feet.
Connecting you to the earth.
A warm breeze gently touches your skin.
You take a deep breath in and inhale the clean,
Fresh air.
And as you exhale,
You feel a warm sensation.
Travel down your throat.
Soothing it and relaxing you.
Spend a few moments inhaling the clean fresh air.
And allowing the warmth.
To travel down your throat as you exhale.
You see that the meadow is at the bottom of a hill.
You begin to climb the hill.
Your legs feel heavy with the first few steps but as you climb higher you begin to feel lighter.
With each step you take,
You become stronger.
When you reach the top of the hill.
You see clear water.
Flowing from a natural spring.
You take a drink of the water.
Feeling its coolness in your mouth.
It's so refreshing after your long climb.
The water washes over your tongue.
And travels down your throat.
Washing away any fear and self-doubt.
You look around you and see how high up you are.
It makes you feel powerful and strong.
You look to the horizon and you say.
My voice can be heard.
I can speak from a place of strength.
Now take a deep breath in and allow the words to settle within you.
As you breathe out.
Notice how confident you feel.
You know you can speak with confidence.
You know that you can be heard.
You know you have the strength to overcome your fears.
You begin to make your way back down the hill.
Your steps are lighter.
Your voice is stronger.
You are refreshed and ready to listen.
And to be heard.
You step back into the meadow.
Take a deep inhale.
Slowly exhale.
And now it's time to come back to the here and now.
But you remember the confidence that you have.
To speak your truth.
Begin to be aware of the room.
The sounds around you.
And gently wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
And slowly.
Open your eyes.
Peace be with you.
