Before we begin,

Please take note that this audio is not a replacement for professional help,

Where needed.

Today's audio is for finding solace within ourselves.

We will begin with a simple grounding technique to help anchor us in the here and now,

After which we will walk through an exercise together.

Then the music will play and slowly fade as you return to the moment.

Let us begin by finding a comfortable seated position,

Ensuring that you maintain at least one point of contact with the ground.

Once contact is established,

We will ease into steady breathing.

Take a deep,

Soothing breath in for 1,

2,

3,

4,

Out 2,

3,

4.

While maintaining this steady breathing,

It is time to ground ourselves.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself seated upon a large,

Flat,

Sun-warmed stone,

Gentle warmth basking down upon you from the sun above.

As you inhale,

Imagine a long wire running from the crown of your head,

Extending up,

Up,

Up toward the sky.

Slowly allow this wire to ease down your spine until it connects you to the large stone.

Gently feeling your breathing expanding your chest as the energy from the sun and earth begin to fill you,

Pouring into your empty vessel.

As you feel the energy coursing through you,

We are going to move into our solace exercise.

Maintaining steady breathing as we begin to shift our conscious focus from what is outside of our control toward three simple things that remain within our control.

Focus first on your emotions and repeat either aloud or in your mind these words,

I take firm but flexible control of my emotions.

Next,

We focus on our thoughts.

Repeat these words.

I can control my reactions through thoughtful focus.

Finally,

We move into our intentions.

Repeat these words.

I will honor myself with thoughtful and deliberate intentions.

Remember to repeat these mantras as often as needed and as always,
