Hello all,
Welcome to today's session.
In today's lesson,
We're going to learn that love is a practice and how to bring more consciousness and awareness into our relationships.
I'm also going to guide you a small reflection exercise and also give you some integration tools to practice more love into our life.
So let's get started.
When we think about Lao,
We often think about a feeling,
The warmth of connection,
Affection and being understood.
That's all fine.
But what happens when we feel disappointed,
Criticized,
Or hurt?
So today,
I would like to explore a simple.
.
.
Understanding,
I would say,
That love is not only something we feel but love is something we practice and this is the intention of today's lesson which I'm going to share with you so let's take an example of let's meet Sarah and Daniel one evening Sarah shares something difficult that happened at work with her she's upset and simply wants Daniel to listen right and Daniel immediately begins offering advice he says you shouldn't have taken personally,
Just speak to your manager and all fixing mindset.
Sir feels frustrated.
And she expresses a frustration.
Why can't you just listen instead of trying to fix everything?
And Daniel feels criticized.
And he says,
I'm just trying to help you.
And suddenly there is an argument.
And Sarah feels unheard.
Daniel feels unappreciated.
So now imagine In this situation,
Daniel is pausing before trying to defend himself.
He asks himself.
Am I listening to understand Sarah or trying to prove I'm right?
So instead of reacting he says,
I'm sorry,
I was trying to solve the problem.
Would you prefer that I just listen?
And Sarah replies,
Yes,
That's what really I need from you right now.
So this situation,
The situation hasn't changed,
But the way they respond to each other has changed.
And this is very important to understand that love is a practice,
Right?
And how we can practice love in these moments.
Practicing love doesn't necessarily always mean agreeing with your partner or your friends or avoiding conflicts.
It doesn't also necessarily mean suppressing our feelings or accepting mistreatment or abuse,
Right?
Sometimes love means listening without immediately giving advice.
Sometimes it's expressing a difficult truth with kindness.
Sometimes it's acknowledging a mistake.
And sometimes it's also about establishing a healthy boundary.
So understanding that we don't need to always agree with our partner or conflict,
But applying some tools as love as a practice,
It's more a healthy way to cultivate a healthy relationship.
And love becomes a practice when we bring awareness into our everyday choices.
Not because we will always get it right,
But because every interaction gives an opportunity to practice love,
To practice and learn an opportunity to learn and practice love.
So understanding that love is also a practice not just a feeling.
So I'm going to guide you a small reflection to practice this understanding.
When you feel comfortable,
Please close your eyes.
Together,
Let's take a deep inhale.
Exhale,
Let go.
Let's do it one more time together.
Inhale.
X and let go Now,
Think about someone important in your life.
Remember a recent moment when relating to this person felt difficult,
Felt challenging.
And ask yourself.
Whether responding with awareness or reacting from her.
Or defensiveness.
Ask yourself.
.
.
What would practicing love have looked like in this moment.
While respecting my own needs.
Ask yourself.
What is one small way I can practice love more consciously today?
Beautiful.
Together let's take a deep inhale excellent goal And when you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for doing this self-reflection with me.
Understanding that relationships are not just Only places where we experience love,
They can also become an opportunity to learn about ourselves.
Every interaction gives us an opportunity to listen,
To understand,
To communicate honestly or establish a boundary.
We always don't need to respawn it perfectly,
But.
.
.
If the intention is to keep learning,
That's where the love as a practice becomes a great choice.
Because love is not something we find,
We practice.
So love is something we practice is the message for today.
I really appreciate taking the time to learn with me.
Until next time.
Namaste.
